Unless - are there going to be specific outside boards setup for this game? Some place where wolves/vampires/pirates/masons or whatever can discuss as a group?

All joking aside. Yes, we will let you know what is going on at the start of each Day. This is not a Bastard game in any way nor is it a Gastard game. Our job as moderators is to help you all have fun. We collectively feel that more information is more fun. We want you guys to focus on the game and not tracking mechanics (unless that’s your bag).

It’s not a rule, but it makes them easier for me to see if I am doing the vote count. Also if they were on a separate line I would also appreciate it.
Notice this is only in black type so it’s not official or anything, but it would be nice.

For the record, I can’t speak for Idle, but I personally would consider it cheating to look at the previous text of an edited post, and so I will not do so.

And it’s the norm for Scum to have their own board (or boards, I guess, in this case) where they can discuss strategy. Masons (if we have any) may or may not have such a board as well, and sometimes there are roles that allow for the sending of private messages (forwarded by the mod).

There have been cases where Mafiates have posted in the game thread messages meant for the Mafia board, then deleted the text. Generally, this got them lynched because the only reason we could think of to edit was that they named names or exposed strategies, and therefore were [del]witches[/del] Mafiates.

It’s always a problem because we don’t know what the text said if we don’t see it pre-edit. I suppose Chronos and / or Idle Thoughts could tell us, but why should we believe what they say?

That said, it’s explicitly legal, so any lynch argument must be based on what the lost text said. That, we are not going to know, so I request the moderators playing the game not to abuse their Ed-given powers to look the edits up.

Well, since the meals need to be cooked, someone has to do the numbercrunching for the caterers. So the Mods pretty much have to tell us.

I think the interpretation is that specific outside boards provided by the moderators are “in game.”
