Mafia--T2: Behind the Scenes

What’s that? You want a Girl Scout’s cookie?

How do you do it, man? Let me in on your secret.

Was that directed at me?

If so, the answer is: drink copious quantities of liquor, live with a gay guy, and try to get through grad school while working a full time job and not ignoring the need to pick up women on a biweekly basis.

The night, oddly enough, was relatively quiet. Perhaps everyone was sleepy? Anyway, as the dawn broke, the group gathered in the hallways, and looked for the missing person among them. Since there were so few people at this point, it was quickly clear that Almost Human was not present. The group walked to her room, opened it, and inside they could see speeches, bags of money, inspriation posters, and legalese runes inscribed along the walls–all hallmarks of a politician. The group stared, highly uneasy. Santo Rugger broke the silence, “Well, there go our plans for today”. He got a few angry stares from those close to AH, but most people were too absorbed with fear to be properly upset. They walked into the lava room, unsettled.

On the floor, written in what looked like heat beams was a taunting message from a Terminator. It read “Halfway until our downgrades disappear–you better have better luck!”. This put the mood, already somber, into the underground.

Bollocks! Go town! Spoilers please

Damnit. So much for confirming myself. No doubt that’s exactly why the scum killed AH.

vote 1. Zeriel

it was not my intention to cause a tie, i was simply trying to lynch my target of choice. Had i wished to tie the game, there would have been a lot less time remaining for someone to untie it.

vote 2. MHaye

OK, it’s possible that he drove himself insane, but I don’t like those odds

vote 3 CIAS

I thought one of Shadow & Santo were scum, it turned out to be Shadow so I am placing my vote on CIAS in the event that I am wrong about zeriel.
It’s true I have no way to be confirmed, but I am still of value to the town. If the scum come after me on a nigth when I am hiding, then they waste their kill.

Sorry to see you go Almost Human. :frowning:

Here’s the facts as I see 'em.
[ul]
[li]We have two scum left[/li][li]One is guaranteed to be in the vanilla pool[/li][li]I am not scum (you don’t need to accept this as true :p)[/li][/ul]

I’m wondering if I think the Shadow vs. Santo thing was staged disagreement to produce the kind of reaction OaOW had with regard to what Shadow’s death says about Santo (in reality, Shadow’s death says NOTHING about Santo, if we assume everyone’s playing up to the best of their ability).

I need a re-read and a gut check before I decide how I’m going to vote today.
If nothing else, people are thinking harder about their lower-ranked votes and I’d like to think I had something to do with that.

I agree that Shadow’s death is irrelevant as far as my alignment is concerned. But what do you mean , “if we assume everyone’s playing up to the best of their ability,”?

I am shocked that I survived the night but I guess the scum were able to get rid of one confirmed townie and preven either scum from being discovered or another townie confirmed. Unfortunatly I couldn’t protect AH last Night.

We are in an intereesting situation today because we only have one mislynch left and either a group where we are 2/3 in finding scum or two groups where we are 1/3. Because of the possibility of there being a second scum in the vanilla pool that is where I am going to go fishing toDay baring something spectacular. No matter how I vote today one of my votes will be on a townie I think the borda count may start causing problems. With that being the case I think that useing the third vote as an FOS on townie power is still the best bet.

Vote 1: Z
Vote 2: Shadow
Vote 3: OAOW

That’s one way to guarantee that you hit at least one scum with your vote.

D’oh! Let me try that again

**Vote 1: Z
Vote 2: Santo
Vote 3: OAOW{/b]

I know Santo so you would think that would make it harder to confuse him but apparently I need to go back to my no posting in the morning rule.

Vote Count!

Votes:
OaOW: 1. Zeriel, 2. Mhaye, 3. CiaS
Oredigger: 1. Zeriel, 2. Shadow, 3. OaOW

Totals:
Zeriel: (6) (OaOW 1st, Oredigger 1st)
Mhaye: (2) (OaOW 2nd)
CatInASuit: (1) (OaOW 3rd)
OaOW: (1) (Oredigger 3rd)

Oredigger, you need to unvote your old vote before your new one is valid.

Isn’t this game based on people making mistakes that they can get caught in, for the most part? I mean, let’s take as an example Scummy and Scuzzy, who are both pretending to be town and having an ongoing disagreement. If they’re playing to their best ability, Scummy and Scuzzy are indistinguishable from town. If they’re not, they fuck up in ways that indicate the argument is being arranged via a back-channel or something.

I basically threw that out there because there’s a non-zero chance, from my POV, that you are scum along with Shadow–and the only way one can rationally back that opinion would be to point out places where your argument with him differed in meaningful ways from the kind of argument a townie would be having with a fake-townie–in other words, places where you didn’t play your best (by which I mean where you screwed up).

Clear enough?

Man I’m having an off day.

Unvote All

Vote 1: Z
Vote 2: Santo
Vote 3: OAOW

[Metal Ghost]

Biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiite Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

[/Metal Ghost]

sigh

We bagged us a scum Yesterday, and still not much participation in here Today, huh? :frowning:

I think we need everyone to get their votes in nice and early.
