MAFIA: The Game - Ideal for Beginners [Game in Progress]

I think he’s just done playing.

I agree; Dante’s checked out.

Hi guys! Just barely made it! Just for the record, I have never voted Dante G. I’ve had my vote on **TexCat **all day. Since Dante G seems fairly certain to go, I’ll keep my vote on her. If anything weird happens last minute I may change that.

So I think this is the vote currently:

  1. Dante G (8 votes) - Prof. Pepperwinkle (703), Diggitcamara (764), Thing Fish (808), Cygnus42 (852), Johnny Bravo (869), JSexton (878), Bayard (884), Mahaloth (896),
  2. TexCat (5 votes) - Biotop (701), Nonsuch (741), Plumpudding (746), Jimmy Chitwood (875), Sangfroid (899)
  3. sangfroid (2 votes) - TexCat (877), Precambrianmollusc

(apologies for any errors)

You are right; my apologies.

No problem.

No, my point isn’t that if** TexCat** were scum, she would have whipped out a counterclaim when septimus claimed Guardian at 11:58. My point is that if she were scum, she would have claimed a power role herself much earlier, probably with an hour or two to go in order to give credulous Townies time to unvote her.

But now I’m feeling slightly less sure of that. After all, TexCat ended up not claiming and not getting lynched, so it’s possible the scum plan just worked. Remember that they did have the advantage of having a Night Zero to make contingency plans.

I believe that is right.

So, Plum, how’s your European trip going?

Day is over, entering fluff-only mode.

I sure hope we got it right this time.

@Thing Fish: Ah alright, I see. I’ll give a reply nextDay.

@ The Prof. I live in Europe, but it’s been great so far. I’ve been meeting up with friends and family, even made some new friends(I’m not usually an abrasive person, sorry guys!), fished a bit, I’ve been drinking a lot of beer(one of my main hobbies!), gone on canoe trips and trips in the forest. Today I went into some of my old boxes and found a bunch of stone age tools I’d sort of forgotten about, along with some pretty cool fossils. Tomorrow it’s off to Poland!

Okay guys, I’m off to play more games. See you around.

Are there any decent beers in Norway? Admittedly most of my drinking there was in Radisson hotels or on an epic night ferry ride from Kristensund to Floro, where we attempted to drink the ferry dry. The beer was mostly very average , but we were probably drinking the norweigian equivalent of bud.

“Are there many fires in Norway?”
“Good lord, yes. The place is a constant blaze.”

From this sketch.

I have mentioned on SDMB before that I do a public radio show on the local college station. Yesterday, I gave them notice after 14 years. Getting too old and not enough time. But I will dedicate a song (or maybe a set)to my fellow mafia players on my next show ( night of Aug. 12th). Hope I am still alive!

fjords: known for their fjlammability!

I am on a bit of a William Elliot Whitmore listening spree at the moment.
How about Old devils - those animals in the day seams vaguely appropriate

or maybe some Fleetwood Mac

I’ll be interested to hear the setlist! What sort of music do you play?

DUSK: DAY TWO

*Dante G went to the gallows with resignation, just before dawn. As they had with septimus, the mob wasted little time smashing in his door and examining the two room cabin for clues. There was a brief flurry of excitement when they found a series of scratch marks on the wooden posts holding up the roof… but as it turned out, Dante G had a pet hedgehog. Who’d have guessed?

Later, the remaining villagers gathered to watch the last moments of the sunset.

“That went poorly,” opined one.

“We’re going to need a new plan,” agreed a second.

“If only we could find a way to defend ourselves against the Wolves directly,” said a third, resting her weary arms on the hilt of septimus’ discarded silver sword.

“I like moose,” said a fourth, staring into the distance.

Dante G, I’m afraid, said nothing, on account of being dead.*

Dante G, a Villager, has been lynched.

Night Two begins now and will end at 2:00PM Eastern time on Wednesday, July 5.

Sigh.

Goddammit. Sorry, Dante.
