I’ve explained the second, and I’m frankly surprised that the first needs explanation; maybe it’s more subtle than I originally intended - but it’ll come out eventually, I suspect.
for the record, Meeko was super pissed about that:
[QUOTE=Meeko]
I’m trying to contact you.
**
What the FUCK are you doing to my game? **
You haven’t investigated Archangel, or JustBeingGinger.
You have investigated Colby, Suburban Plankton and Deni.

Mine is different still, as I’d expect from a role PM intended to prevent handshaking. I find handshaking to be somewhat anti-game (meta as it is) and I start with the default assumption that my moderator has taken pains to prevent it from being a serious aspect of the game.
I’d recommend nobody else volunteer info about their PM at this time, unless you have something earth shattering to add.
posting as i catch up.
there is a tendency to lynch the loud because they can be abrasive. others think it’s anti-town because it distracts from scumhunting. history has shown it’s not a consistent indicator of alignment. however, players who are consistently loud have been able to use it to their advantage especially as scum.
his new playstyle gets to a lot of players, me included. he’s not as helpful as before and it’s hard get a read on him.
choie, some players don’t say anything after a townie is lynched because players used to be suspected of gloating and so choose to say nothing. the tells in the link are dated and IMO obsolete.
Also, that sounds hilarious. I get his anger, but… funny.
why would you discourage the sharing of information that could potentially help town?
Astral, I can see that you’re on-line. Did we ever get a vote from you?
You know what, I don’t like **scathach **being in the lead, and I’m not comfortable with the way that she’s been band-wagoned. After I made my case, some reasonable questions have been asked by Guiri, that I’ve been giving some more thoughts but that others are apparently happy not to give any heed. It tickles my self-esteem that people find my case convincing, that much is true, but like I’ve said, people jump on this bandwagon far too easily.
**Inner’s **vote (the second one for scathach, here) is particularly egregious in this regard - there’s absolutely no justification there. His wailing and gnashing of teeth over how he’s getting voted for being a nice and helpful guy and a better player than he in fact is - it’s getting old. If he were in fact so nice, and helpful, he’d make a better case against Scathach. As it stands, his vote is opportunistic.
The bandwagon against scathach dismays me, and I will have no part of it. **Inner’s **vote in particular is weak. Add to that his general lack of genuine contribution as has been pointed out by me and others elsewhere (I am pressed for time, so I apologize that I cannot provide links to said allegations now) and (with the added advantage in mind that this vote switch will not create a tie) I will
vote Inner Stickler
Vote Count:
Inner Stickler (4): Scathach, choie, Guiri, Švejk
scathach (3): Inner Stickler, Hirka T’Bawa, Mental Guy
fubbleskag (1): Special Ed
Spec Ed (1): Mahaloth
Septimus (1): Fubbleskag
GuiriEnEspana (1): septimus
Backpedal much?
Was that supposed to be a one-off vote on a scum buddy that started a bandwagon?
You should explain it, like, giving us the information that could potentially help town.
I was not in that game, but it kind of sounds like he was mad that you had not shared accurate information that could potentially help town. I apologize if I’m not getting the situation right on this one, though.
Don’t you kind of do that?
it’s a parody of ed’s ‘new playing style’ which I’m not very fond of. glad I could enlighten town with this earth shattering information.
irrelevant, and I’ve already addressed this other game upthread in any case
nope.
you have my attention
Day ends in 20 minutes!

Inner and scathach seem to be behaving the way i’ve seen them in the past as town. i’m still most suspicious of Mahaloth. i’m also suspicious of Special Ed. Special Ed’s new playstyle is already unhelpful to begin with but he seems to be more distracting than i’ve seen before.
Mahaloth is voting for Special Ed. maybe it’s scum bussing fellow scum. if that’s the case i’ll help them.
Vote Special Ed
And with that, Inner Stickler was led to the gallows. It was high tide he had been finished–his last meal eaten, his last cigarette exhausted, his last conjugal visit completed. The watchers threw tear stained handkerchiefs and rotten fruit, and the scaffolding was a mass of shouts. Who would he be? Who would he be?
Inner Stickler, who was Nobody in Particular (Vanilla Town), is dead.
Night 2 ends at 10:00 AM MST on Sunday, Dec 11. Get your PMs in before then.
Stupid meeting. I missed day’s end. I’ll let you know now, before the results come in, that I would have voted for scathach because of Svejk’s backpedal. I have no read on Inner Stickler, so I would have been okay with a 50/50 on those two.
In case Trepa counts it:
Vote Scathach.
Dude, I’m the one you are suspicious of and that looks weird. If you are most suspicious of me, why agree with me? Are you postulating that I’m busing Ed? It sounds like speculation, but even if it is, why aid me in it?
Definitely too late then.
I let you down, town. It’s inexcusable to not have a vote in, and I’m sorry.
I don’t care if it’s scummy or not to say this: Fuckaduck. I’m sorry, Inner Stickler.
Well, shit. I guess I was wrong. Sorry Stickler
