As long as I got to bang O’Connell a few times before a satellite fell on MY head, I would consider it a fair deal.

I know I’m in the minority, but I’ll take Shelly. Maggie is nuts, her boyfriends die and she once put a rifle under her bed when doing it with Joel in the hopes that it would go off, making the sex more exciting.
Shelly may not be the brightest bulb on the tree, but she’s honest about what she feels.
I second Chris. Smart with good voice.
And no Ed? Surely there was someone who thought he was cute.

Hands down Chris. No question. There is no close second.
And if I were so inclined, Maggie. Yeah, she’s annoying, but Shelly is just so ridiculous (the totally pink bedroom in the ep where Holling can’t poop, for instance). She’s too white trash for me.
FYI: Did you know that Rob Morrow named his daughter Tu? Get it? Tu Morrow? Sick what some people do to their kids.

I apparently have a thing for neurotic Jewish men, 'cause I had a bigger crush on Joel than Chris. I also had more sympathy for Joel later in the series, as the town became progressively more pretentiously eccentric.
Chris is good-looking, but too pretty for me, I think.
Oh, no kidding. I’ve had a huge crush on John Corbett ever since Northern Exposure. Joel was cute, but Chris was cuter. And yes, Snooooopy, I’d do him ‘in the morning.’
And I’m still mad at Carrie Bradshaw for being so mean to Aiden on Sex And The City.
I gotta go along with Snoooopy and Friar Ted on this one.

For a good time, I’d call Shelley.
For a long term relationship, neither. They were both just too annoying. It’s funny, NE is my favorite show of all time, but I hated all of the female characters and liked all of the males.
BTW no one mentioned Adam and Eve? Now there was a handsome couple.
Well, speaking as a man of a certain persuasion, I’d pass up Maggie and Shelley for either Joel or Chris. But when choosing between them, I’d do Chris. 
“Sugar in the morning, sugar in the evening, sugar at suppertime”…

The reason I liked Chris better was his voice; I thought they were equally attractive men as far as looks were concerned.
