For a series was supposed to be all about the great starting pitching on both sides, it was kinda fitting that it was won by a kickass performance by the Giants bullpen.

If I’ve done my math correctly, the Giants have outscored their opponents this post-season 30-29. Not exactly the most dominating performance ever, but it’s enough.

Congrats to the Giants fans! Hopefully, the Phillies give over the NL Crown and in return get a Cy Young trophy for one of theirs. Not a great trade, but it’s the best we can do this year.
Great series. Phillies just couldn’t hit. A lot of credit for that has to go to the Giants pitching.
We have an exciting world series ahead of us! Man. Is Cliff Lee going to remain awesome? Add this. He’s been dominating against two AL powerhouses. Game 1 is going to be in an NL park. That pitcher batting is like a free out once through the lineup. We had some hype with Halladay vs Lincecum. We’ll see even more with L v. L. Should be fun.
Pat, I have to say that while I have been less than impressed with the sportsmanship displayed by the Phillies’ fans on TV over the last few days, you have never been anything less than totally classy, which is something I can’t say about myself. It was a great series between two very evenly matched teams. So, thanks.
The Giants certainly deserved to win, but make no mistake; the Phillies really, really deserved to lose. They blew chance after chance, quite often with dreadful hitting.
It’ll be a terrific World Series between two unexpected and very interesting teams.
