I had wanted to not be a charity case, so didn’t join in on these before. Was just going to let my guestness lapse and be done with it. But, as the deadline approaches, I find myself unable to bring myself to. Being between jobs, and mooching off my parents for the internet connection, even $5 (closer to $7, actually, being Canadian) just isn’t possible for me. If someone would be kind enough to sponsor me, we can make arrangements for reimbursement when I get a new job or otherwise have some extra cash hanging around.

I’d be happy to pay the 4.95 translated into Australian dollars, but don’t have any kind of card etc. Any Aussie dopers who have a credit card etc? I will post you a cheque / bank cheque if you give me your address…it’d be good karma too.
Ooh, the deadline has been extended to the 26th, so this is no longer last-minute. I have enough money to be able to afford the $5 easily, but no credit card. So I’d like to ask that somebody help me out with the actual registration bit, but I insist that if anyone pays for me, that you e-mail me your mailing address ASAP so I can reimburse you. Please don’t pay for me if you’re not willing to do that. Also, please do not pay for me if your goal is for me to feel indebted to you. If you Act Like a Jerk, I make no guarantees that I will restrain myself from joining in the inevitable Pit pile-on. (I doubt that will happen with any of you nice people who would do me this favor, but hey, gotta set the ground rules.)
well, I’m not asking anyone to pay me through, but this appears to be the thread to post in. My only available payment method (my brother) is at the moment flying around the world, and has been since the announcement was made, so what I’m asking is not that someone pays for me for nothing, I know as much as anyone that I’m more a lurker here than an active contributor, but could just pay until I have chance to return the money on his return.

I need a sponsor. I’m not poor, and I would GLADLY reimburse whoever pays for my subscription via money order. The reason I cannot pay myself is because I have neither a credit card nor a PayPal account, and from what I’ve read, the admins aren’t too thrilled about recieving the payment in the form of a money order.
