Alright, I wasn’t going to subscribe, but since the date has been extended it seems like a sign. It’s been three years and I don’t think I could stop posting cold turkey (even though I don’t post very much).
I certainly have the $5, but I don’t have a credit card or a PayPal account. I’ve e-mailed a couple Dopers already, but they haven’t responded yet and I’m neurotic and want to make sure I get in before the deadline. (I can’t access the profiles of those who say “my address is in my profile,” or else I would have e-mailed more people.) I know I’m doing this all last-minute-like, and I apologize for that.

Actually, I don’t have a PhD yet. But you get the picture. My AGI for 2004 was $xxxx.xx (for those across the pond, this means that Uncle Sam deems me too poor to be taxed on income). I am really, really hard up at the moment as I am paying off my student loan, supporting my girlfriend while she is at uni and am trying to make rent as well. I am loath to ask for charity (hence the late date of my request) but have come to realise how much I love it here as the final date approaches. I would be more than happy to re-imburse the amount when my girlfriend starts her summer break (summer job, help with bills etc) but if not I can wait it out till then. If there is anyone left who fancies sponsoring me I’d really appreciate it, if not I’ll be back posting in June.
