I like to think that I have high moral standards. I also generally consider myself conservative. However my morals may not follow what you might think is the party line. For instance most evangelical conservatives think that gambling is a sin. I think it is a great way to pass the time. Does that make me a hypocrite? No I am not violating my own moral code or preaching against something that I do. I’m certainly not defending the DWI. I just object to the use of the word hypocrite without further explaination. The guy was an asshole for putting others lives at risk.

I don’t think gambling is a moral failure either, as long as you don’t steal to feed an addiction. Driving under the influence absolutely is, there is no question about it. I had forgotten about the frequent mentions of Ted Kennedy and references to Chappaquidick in the strip. That certainly qualifies as hypocricy, doesn’t it?

Like I said I don’t read it. I don’t think my paper carries it. If that is the case then absolutely he is a hypocrite.

I am pretty sure that 90% of the population is against drinking and driving from all corners of the political landscape. I don’t think this partiular form of hypocricy is limited to the conservatives.

A regular automatic pistol is merely self-cocking. You fire one shot and the gun cocks itself so that when you pull the trigger again it fires again.

An automatic **machine ** pistol fires multiple shots with one pull of the trigger. You pull the trigger and bullets keep coming out until the magazine is empty.
