Mallard Fillmore Creator Arrested

Yes, but when someone claims that other people who drink and drive do so because of a huge character flaw, then the person making that claim also drinks and drives, he had better either admit to the same character flaw, or withdraw his accusation.

If this doesn’t provoke Dave Barry to come out of retirment and write a column about it, nothing will.

While he’s in custody, can we charge him with crimes against humanity?

.14 is not life-threatening. Unless, of course, one happens to be driving a car.

What do you have against artists? Tinsley is no artist!

Oh, go throw another koala on the barbie, you and your fried egg on a burger eating mates don’t know a thing about drinking when compared to me! I learned how to drink from a German and managed to have the highest GPA of my life while doing it! :stuck_out_tongue:

I never said a thing about your ability to drink. I was merely commenting on the possible results. Let’s face it, there are few creatures on this planet that are more out of control than drunk Germans.

Of all the Germans I have met (and I have quite a few in my family for anecdotal reference), I’d have to say that Aussies on the piss are far more ‘out of control’ than your average Deutchlander. And the Poms are even worse, but they tend to get cuddly and cushy rather than stroppy, IMHE.

You’re talking out of your bum Prinny.

Aussies are the Texans of the Pacific.

That’s not a nice thing to say about Aussies!

I never said he was a good one. Andrew Dice Clay is a standup comic. Standup comedy is an art. Pauly Shore is an actor. Acting is an art. So is cartooning.

… or Texans.

Or the Pacific, for that matter.

Both Shore and Clay, while representing some of the lowest parts of their professions are both infinitely more talented and entertaining than Tinsley is.

Actually, this all sort of makes sense since Mallard Fillmore usually reads like the lame, self-amusing comments of a lame, unamusing Rightie who is well into his cups.

The local paper runs both Doonsbury and Mallard Fillmore on the op-ed page as if there is some sort of parity between the two. The former has artistry, plotlines, characters, and a sense of humor. The latter does not.

Mallard Fillmore: the duck whose quack does not echo, except inside the heads of his fans.

I thought these two comics were worth bumping this thread.

This one’s even better!
