This story popped up on a forum I read, and seemed familiar. I knew it was either The Straight Dope (I was a regular on alt.fan.cecil-adams) or Snopes where I first heard it, and I found this:

Weird, you can’t edit your post here. Anyone, I wanted to add the synopsis: A Chinese couple has a baby and the husband declares the baby is too ugly to have his genes. He kicks up such a fuss that his wife of two years reveals the truth - she’s had a ton of plastic surgery, providing before pics. The husband divorces her and successfully sues for damages, claiming to have been deceived.
Far as I can see, it looks like she had surgery to remove her epicanthic folds and got braces - big whoop.
Good catch. The fact that the Chinese man’s name, “Jian Feng”, and most of the relevant details are the same in both stories means that at best its recycled material.
