In essence, inebriated father-of-the-year candidate gets into a fight on a boat with his current girlfriend in front of a couple of his young kids from a former marriage. One kid, a 7-year-old, starts crying and won’t stop. Father reportedly hits kid repeatedly (much to the shock of the other passengers) and threatens to throw him overboard if he doesn’t stop crying. Kid doesn’t stop crying. Father makes good on his threat. Other boaters pull kid out of the harbor to safety. Father also manages to injure a cop in the process of trying to arrest him.
I wonder if his ex is planning on revisiting the current custody arrangement…
Hey, cut out all the jokes people. There are serious issues here to discuss, and your jokes are taking away from them. If you have nothing productive to say, just don’t post, OK?
The kid got a swimming lesson… a survival lesson… multiple first person examples of the kindness of strangers… a lesson on the dangers of public drunkenness… a boxing lesson… lessona on the procedures of first responders and police… a family court experience… AND of being a minor celebrity in the press!
I can’t think of a better learning experience for a child to have, assuming he survives it.
That’s the first rule they teach you in police academy: never resist being arrested by a drunken father who’s just thrown his son in the water. I bet Internal Affairs is on that cop’s thin blue ass.
