I would be in total agreement with you, except that this person’s motivations and thought processes are being used to target innocent trans people. Even if this shooter is genuinely trans, rhetoric like ‘the trans movement is the natural enemy of Christianity’ (not at my church, pal!) and ‘a rise in trans terrorism’ is worrisome, especially as they’ve said for years that we shouldn’t jump to conclusions when a shooter turns out to be a neo-Nazi or other white supremacist…
No answer is going to be good. From what is out it appears Hale was in the beginning stages of coming out as trans. What was in their mind is not possible to know.
