No, something will. Because this is in one of the ritzy parts of town where the kids are moneyed and white. Which is all our f*cking Tennessee government gives a site about. Of course, whatever is done won’t benefit our public schools in any way, because our asshole governor wants all the kids out of public schools and into private it charters.
It’s not my kids’ schools, not even in the same cluster as where either of my kids’ schools are. But I’m angry and depressed and so damned sick of it all! I shouldn’t have to worry - no one should have to worry - that their kids won’t ever come home from school. We shouldn’t be afraid to send out kids to school because some mentally ill person with a gun decides that spring up a school is a good way to make a name for themselves.
But tell me again how Trans kids and drag queens are the big problem in our state…

Sorry, I assumed it was common knowledge. Brenda Spencer, 16, shot up an elementary school back in the late 1970s and gave, as her reason, “I don’t like Mondays”. Hence the song by the Boomtown Rats.

It’s a K-6 school, so a minimum of 14 years ago.

So did the shooter identify as he/him? Reports are their Linkedin page has the pronouns he/him.
While police described Hale as a 28-year-old white woman, social media profiles under Hale’s name list he/him pronouns. A LinkedIn profile says Hale started a freelance illustration and graphic design business last year after attending, and working for, Nossi College of Art in Madison, Tennessee. At Nossi, Hale won an award for “most improved” in 2015, according to the school’s site.
