March of The Penguins - SDMB Pokertropolis Fourth Quarter, 2005

This was worse, actually. In going through the history I came across a message board she frequents (supposedly kid oriented). Click on her nick - her real name popped up. In another thread she gave out her AIM handle. In yet another thread her IRL buddy stated what school they go to. AND LilMiss said not only what city we live in, but the near vicinity of where we are in said city.

How fucking stupid. After all the talking, she was a moron. Oy vey.

I’m planning on being there tonight, so be prepared to… erm… take my chips.

I know! Maybe I’ll find another way to get pissed off and ignore the game, thereby winning!!

It will show up under “Tournaments”. It’s probably a little early, sometimes it doesn’t show up until after 8 EST. If you are on the list submitted by Aholibah, it will be listed like any other “Tournament”, it will just say SDMB-Private.

Well I have been all over the board in my play lately. I have been playing at bodog, I love the interface, the available games and when there is an all-in they don’t do a super quick deal out the cards, they actually give u time to contemplate wha is happening.

Ayway, two days ago I won $50 by winning one and coming in 2nd in sit-n-gos. Then yesterday I lost about $25. I still think I am playing well, just didn’t have the cards or luck yesterday.

It’s up, guys. New players, look for it under ‘Tournaments’ in the multitable pane. If you don’t see it, AIM me, ASAP.

Thanks, A. I see John F found it.

John, I’ll be at the seat labeled “Dead Money”.

Freakin amazing game. 5 people still alive at the second break. Double and triple ups all over the place. I think if you guessed the order of the final five after every other hand you’d never get the same result twice there were that many chips changing hands.

Not to mention the time it was three handed and Nanook and myself both had QQ. Crazy night.

Yes, a terrific game for the reasons stated.

Of course, I didn’t enjoy it so much due to hardware issues…

Poker Stars has a 20% deposit bonus going on right now.

Duke how in the hell did you stay around that long. I thought you’d be right after me. Nice playing.

I’m sure it was just from getting lucky on a couple of last gasp all-ins. I actually rebounded up to a decent stack for a while, but squandered that fast enough.

On a brighter note, I tripled up my PartyPoker stack in $25 NL after I left. I still had $15 over there and hadn’t played, felt good to walk away to the good for once.

Anybody planning on doing the .99 tourney tonight?

That was fun…

Had I noticed the clock I might have waited for the break before pushing, but the way things went it was hard not to.

I don’t recall what I was knocked out with but the blinds were escalating and I had two over card race hands back to back. Folded the first one (calling an all in) and pushed with the next. I figured they were both 50/50 hands I just picked the wrong order to race with.

I remember the one I folded was against TT but can’t remember what hand knocked me out 44-99 or something??? I should have raced against the TT because I think that was a shorter stack vs. getting killed the next hand.

Anyway you dopers are mighty tighty as we went into the break at one hour and were only what two down? I nearly went out around the first break but doubled up in one spot where I HAD to move and another where I gambled.

After break play was interesting and I identified a little blind thief . I was working a nice trap play but just as it all came together one seat before me raised all in to the thievery and suddenly one of the only 3 PP’s I held all night 77 didn’t look as good right then. (might not have been a steal after all??) I think Aholibah doubled up on that hand with a lower pair iirc. :smack: but I was not in position right then to “play”.

All in all it was 110 min. of some of the hardest play I’ve ever put forth for under a buck. And in a couple of weeks I look forward to doing it again.

GG everybody!

You played well, John. Good to have you onboard!

BTW, did anyone ever figure out what were the odds of two players getting pocket Queens in three handed play?

Glad to have both our newcomers aboard, I think both acquitted themselves very well.

I might have a go, Capn. I haven’t played online except for our games in a long time (until last night). I need to do something to bust the rust off.
