I came across an article about a ten year old blind girl who had tickets to a concert Mariah Carey cancelled. The little blind girls family sent an e-mail to Mariah Carey and got a really nasty response.

Well, it does say in the article that pretty much everyone agrees that it’s highly unlikely Mariah herself responded with that. She can’t really be blamed (unless she DID send it… In which case, let’s go kill her) however, whoever the jerk was who did send it really should be fired for it.
And Ms. Carey (who I must add, I can’t stand) should make it a point to visit the girl. Her PR is already in the shitter, she really can’t afford to let stuff like this go.

I also like how Mariah’s sister dying from HIV is Mariah’s problem. Seems like it’s more sis’s problem than anyone else. Frankly, Ms. Carey isn’t nearly talented enough to have this much ego. Go say Hi to the blind girl, you cheerleading freak.

Mariah Carey didn’t seem to be having any problems (save her normal live performance inconsistency) when she was prancing around on the Today Show this morning. (Where’s the barfing smiley when you need it?)
But the woman is a freakshow. We all know (and have seen footage which documents the fact well) that she’s one sandwich short of a picnic. I could certainly believe that she either wrote that e-mail herself or is too mental to realize that a staffer who would write something like that in her name is not someone who should be entrusted with answering fan e-mails.
I could care less how many kids she sends to Fresh Air Camp, MC has been fairly low on my list of celebrs worth giving a damn about, and this just reinforces that opinion a little more. Overhyped nutcase.

Yep when asked this morning on the Today show if she had any advice to give to the 2 or 3 winners of american idol she replied and I paraphrase;
“I don’t really have any as I started out by releasing several records before I had a hit whereas those people had a star platform to springboard on right from the beginning.”

Granted the winners of AI did have a quicker road to their 15 minutes of fame (which may or may not last) but look at the shit they went through to get it. I thought old Ruben was going to stroke out before he could win the contest.

Well, according to some TV news show I saw about an hour ago, it turns out that the response didn’t come from Miss Carey’s website. The girl’s grandmother tried to initiate contact with Miriah Carey by e-mail, got an incorrect site, and got the smartass response as a result.
Miriah herself has called the girl and they have spoken on the phone. Miriah has promised her two tickets to another concert. The girl’s dad seemed quite satisfied the the whole thing was not the fault of M.C. or her staff.
Not that I’m a fan or anything, but fair’s fair.
I can see some grandma sitting down and thinking, hmmm, it must be mariah@aol.com and firing off an email. Not that is warrents such an abrasive response, but I hate getting misdirected emails. It was probably some mistake like that.
I had always thought that almost everyone had enough sense to be repulsed by the thought of taking a poke at the Mariah Carey hoo haa, Vin Diesel included.

Barrytown, it confused me too but I took it as Michelle having sort of an imaginary friend and worshipping/having conversations with her in the way only little girls do.
Well, little girls and disturbed street people. Frankly, that part of the article creeped me out.
Barrytown, I had to read that sentence about 3 times before I figured out what the 7th grader who wrote it was trying to say.
