First Jared Fogle and now Mark Salling.
Since these things seem to come in threes, who will be the third “Wow, I didn’t see that one coming” celebrity child pornography collector, I wonder.

Justin Beiber.
Those are selfies!
K, then, Carrot Top.
I’m always skeptical of these things until the facts come out. Have to admit I was not expecting the Jared case to turn out the way it did. Wasn’t Paul Reubens arrested for CP, too, but it turned out to be nothing? There was a basketball player investigated a couple years ago for an underage accusation, which turned out the be bogus. Of course there were many stories alleging his ties to child sex and the ominous sounding investigation, based on the flimsiest of accusations, but not much was said when he was completely cleared and it was obvious he didn’t do anything.
Naah, it wasn’t “nothing”, it was “erotica” - he plead guilty to a lesser charge. And to be fair, he already had the previous indecent exposure arrest against him.
Come on now, don’t be obtuse; Carrot Top, man!
Me too. I wonder if it’s just teenage fans sending him selfies? He played a high-school kid on TV even though he’s like 30-something, am I correct?
Actually, the one illegal tape came from the material from another case and was “accidentally” included with the stuff seized from Ruben’s home. Everything he had was legal.
Nudity is not pornography. I was raised nudist, and by the current standard, our 8mm home movies from the camp would be considered “child porn”. (No, I don’t still have them. They were destroyed long ago.)
And he was busted for exposing himself in a porn theater. I thought these things were decided based on community standards. That’s like being busted for lewd behavior in a strip club.
With the amount of cases of teen sexting we hear about I wouldn’t be too surprised if more people aren’t caught up in kiddie porn cases just by being the recipient of unsolicited selfies from teens.
More of this is happening. In some places, teens can be considered an adult in regards to sex but considered a juvenile in sexting cases. Dan Savage was just talking about this on his podcast this week.
No, the pics he had were of children under the age of 10.
If it was all legal, why’d the obscenity charge stick?
Agreed. Now, try getting Pretty Baby or Bilitis remade today, even without any actual sex scenes…
Whip out your dick in a strip club and see how far community standards take you…
Strip clubs are generally anti-sex. But porn theaters were pretty much made for wanking.
IIRC the obscenity charge “stuck” in that it was a plea deal and Rubens’ lawyer decided it was not worth fighting it.
I’ve often imagined Teri Shields would have had FCS/CPS fall on her head hard had the standards and practices been today’s. Never mind Pretty Baby, the nude photo spreads, whoa.
Except that the law did not make an exception for porn theaters being made for wanking. Legally speaking, the porn theaters merely were theaters showing porn features and whipping it out in there was still an offense, the only question being whether any observer would complain. This was one of those cases of (literally) looking the other way as long as a public nuisance was avoided, but the places were still policed to look out for actual sex or prostitution, and if you happen to engage in lewd exposure within sight of an undercover vice cop, he has to take you in.
And some places didn’t look the other way. My city shut down an adult bookstore as a public nuisance because of what patrons were doing in private viewing booths where a video could be played for a small fee. The public nuisance was that the mayor believed watching porn in such a booth would lead the patrons to gather at an elementary school to abuse children. (I believe this wasn’t very long after the satanic panic.)
Joe Piscapo!
He borrowed Stevie Wonder’s Canon AE-1, you see…
I’m voting for former 1Der Zayne. Millions of teenage girls heads will explode.
Right, but the community of the porn theater obviously didn’t have any problem with seeing people engaging in sex; in fact they paid money for the experience. It’s not as if anyone actually sitting in the theater was going to be offended.
It was insanity for the taxpayers spending money sending cops into a porn theater to watch porn and specifically look for people who were not in any way doing anything that would bother their fellow raincoaters.
He’s been found dead in a riverbed near LA. Good riddance.
