Mary Mary, quite contrary, a garden MMP

Good morning! I am awake but not up. mr ems got up early but is snoozing on the recliner so I don’t want to disturb him so I am watching tv in bed. I might go get some coffee in a bit though and then I have to finish packing.

Enjoy your Sunday!

Am here, trying to catch up on house things, but sleeping more than planned instead. Would love to get lots of gardening stuff done, but it’s way too hot out. Ick.

Also need to go clothes shopping.

Have read, but am not retaining much. Did catch the part where wiki’s kids are delayed. :frowning: Hope they make it through sooner than anticipated.

Had tacos for breakfast (brother and nephew bought carnitas yesterday, but it was too late in the day to eat them by the time we got home from a long walk).

Back to getting stuff done. (Am working on laundry at the moment.)

Hugs all.

Breakfast was french toast made on our new George Foreman griddle/grill and I was properly impressed. I’ve got a couple of tuna steaks in the freezer that might be a good choice to try out the grill plates…

I’ll be doing a little laundry today and maybe playing in my studio. Tomorrow, I take some of my pottery to the local artists’ market on consignment. Fingers crossed.

Then I think I need to go see my doctor. I got a couple of bug bites on the back of my right leg, and one has developed a very angry-looking rash that itches like crazy and doesn’t seem to be abating. I’m trying not to make myself insane, but my mom dealt with Lyme disease last year, and I really don’t need it to be that. I’m not sure if anything could be done this early anyway, but I’ll ask an expert. And, no, the rash isn’t a bullseye - that’s all that’s keeping me relatively calm. Plus I wasn’t out in the woods, tho that may not be relevant.

It’s already feeling hot and sticky. The two windows are still open, but not for much longer, I fear… :frowning:

Mawnin all
Up Caffinating and such, gotta change the oil on the motorscooter and then I am going to do a little baking, because I need a treat, should have done it last night but dinner didn’t get done till well past nine and there was wine, so…

This is what I am baking, with a little mod, Heath bar pieces instead of chocolate chips I also add a little clarified butter when melting the topping

swampy There ain’t enough hours in the day to deheathenize from that comment to Bobbio. Never, ever, ever say, “have a quiet night” to someone on bambilance duty as that ensures nonstop calls.

Cap’n didn’t see your invite til late. Had family in from out of town so picked up Chinese food. I must be a stud because I was being checked out by the foxes. One was wisperin’ to another, then there was some fightin’ goin’ on amongst them - there were six altoghether.
Oh, not that kind of foxes? Nevermind! [/Litella]

Now it’s off to da supermarket to get food & ammo for the gun Methinks OBL will be gettin’ shot tonight!

Nice pics SPIDEY

Oil changed, Chain tightened, ready for a ride…Woo Hooo

Off to the store and I shall bake(forgot a couple of things yesterday)

Howdy Y’all! It’s been an interestin’ day. N.O.L. with the Lutherans was fun and informative. If all goes accordin’ to plan, we’ll have a joint service the first Sunday in September followed by brunch and then beginnin’ the second Sunday in September we will have a nine o’clock service that will be Lutheran and a 10:45 service that will be the Episcopal Book of Common Prayer. We will slowly but surely iron out other details and eventually have a blended Episcopal/Lutheran congregation. I understand their desire to be able to maintain their, as they put it, “Lutheran Identity.” They are a group of around 45 folks while we’re a group of around 300 folks.

I fell asleep durin’ a tstorm a bit ago. Wish I hadn’t cause that was around four o’clock which is sorta lateish to be nappin’. Sounds like another tstorm is on the way as I post.

Ka*Boom! Yep there it is.

Spidey I’m a little  about your comment. I never said have a quiet night to BBBobbio.

Think maybe I should power down Mr. puter for a bit. Soundin’ rather nasty out.

Laterz.

Was a tad hungover, so we went for lunch and hair o’ the dog at Fishy Fish. We to go see the gators. The six footer was way closer than I prefer anying above me on the food chain to be.
Happy shortdrumversary!!!

Can’t say anything to those on bambilance duty, to the point of being rude, lest you jinx them into getting calls, typically boring calls at that, ie. constipation from the nursing home.

I see your point Spidey. A constipated nursing home would be a bad thing.

Interestin’ storms have been passin’ through. Big lightnin’ and lots of rain. I just had to go out and let some water out of the pool even. Looks like more on the way. Should be a fun night in south Jawja.

No Shit!

Sorry, but when a lob that that is served up, I just gotta take it.

That, my friend, is what makes you a Mumper.

I call this one Disembodied Hand.

'Round heah, the use of ‘quiet’ is the jinxing factor. I frequently wish the other crews I run into “a boring shift”, which is OK.

I heard a rumour that swampbear is gay.

Oh no theys everywhere :eek::eek::eek:

oh oh oh my baked creation is a cooling and will be ready to eat shortly, I actually had a productive day

Think I have earned a beerverage in public

Cheers all

If they say, “have a quiet night”, you’re jinxed.
If they try reverse psychology & say, “have a busy night” it would backfire & their statement would come true.
Family was instructed to either say nothing & walk out, or say, “have a night” when they left after a dinner visit. It was understood that just walking out without even a “goodnight” was acceptable.

nice friendly afternoon - we played a couple of old faves, and tried some new games; then had chinese food and told bad jokes. I shall sleep well tonight.

Damnit!
I want to get up from the fancy thinkin’ box, but OBL is deep into ZZZZZ land & having a pleasant dream, prolly involving a squirrel or a rabbit by the way the paws & wiskers are atwitchin’ & I doan wanna wake him.
