Mary Mary, quite contrary, a garden MMP

{{{{{{BooFae}}}}}} - please feel free to let off steam here, that’s part of what we’re good for. Listening. And of course hugging. Hope things work out the best way.

Corned beef in the crock pot and boy does it smell delicious! I also made banana bread this morning. When it came out, it was nice and high, but then it fell some and is very … shall we say DENSE in the middle. Anyone have any idea what might have gone wrong with this? I baked it at 325 for just over an hour, like the recipe said, but it wasn’t “adjusted for high altitude,” which might be some of the problem. (It was from foodnetwork.com, btw). Still tastes okay, but I’d like to be able to fix it for next time - we love banana bread!

You have my sympathies, Swampy and Mmmmmms - just another reason I’m glad that I’ve retired - no awful co-workers to deal with any more!!! I am sympathetic, though, really.

It’s almost FIRDAY!

Howdy Y’all! Home from irk. YAY!!! Tomorrow is Firday but it’s gonna be a bad day I am afeered. I have to pull somebody from a worksite because the place told me they don’t want her there as she’s not capable of doin’ what she’s supposed to do. Ok, she’s capable, but just won’t. Le sigh. Oh well, I’ll get it over with in the mornin’ and spend the rest of the day hidin’ under my desk so everybody will think I’m not there. That’ll work, right?

The leftover poke from yestiddy is bein’ turned into bbq for sammiches. Ima go make up some coleslaw and do some oven fries. Should be a good dindin.

Laterz!

I’ve never posted in the MMP before, but after reading the MMP FAQ this seemed like the right place to say: the female contestant on *Jeopardy! *today, Sarah, is GORGEOUS! That is all.

Welcome, Bommy. You may now refer to yourself as a mumper.

And we’re all sure Sarah appreciates the compliment. Maybe she’s a mumper!

BBQ sammiches, fries and slaw made for a nummy dindin just like I said. YUM!!!

That is all.

Well I for one think that it should be BOOMY but I of course will defer to the Mumpers with more senority:D Howdy any ways

Still waiting on Fed-Ex, there goes one whole day shot but that’s ok, got an invite to swill a little Single Malt and shoot the breeze, life is good just don’t get behind me in the grocery line, mine is always the slowest

Happy evening all

JIM

Came home from work to find my Tupperware order from my party last week. I like getting packages in the mail, even if half the contents aren’t mine.
Sweetie took the day off today because a friend of his is up from Florida so now I"m home all alone (well, Holly and Ginger are with me) with just my pretzles, cream cheese, and seltzer for din din.
My hip arthritis was nice to me for over a week but now it’s acting up again and it really hurts.

Howdy All!! I am so lonesome as hubby is out of town going to school. He is due back tomorrow. I took the last two days off thinking I could just be alone and enjoy it…eh, not so much but the dog did. Back to irk tomorrow then off for the weekend.

FCM…you have a gorgeous yard. I can see that you have worked very hard on it. Others that have posted photos too. Our yard consists of pearock and sandspurs. We do have one traveler’s palm that is huge. We planted flowers on top of the septic tank to hide the ugly concrete slab but the weeds have taken over but they are pretty weeds.

I think I’m depressed…gonna go cry now.

You said it, sister!!!

**Butters **- I have to confess - this is the first year my yard looks nice. Being retired has pretty much everything to do with it. While I was still working, the most I could manage was keeping the grass mowed.

Welcome to our sandbox, Bommy!!

Daughter has come and gone. She brought cake. One of the mothers made cakes for her and the team leader, who is retiring this year. The team lead didn’t want her cake, so we got it. Chocolate. Yum!!!

And now, I’m going back to my crocheting. I should be able to get all of the squares edged today, and tomorrow I can start assembling the afghan.

you’ve crocheted a dog?

Well, no, but most of what I crochet and knit is full of cat hair…

Stoopit cats…

No, a Taliban member.

Just made the arrangements to grab the kids for the weekend - boating and crabbing it is. Supposed to be very hot this weekend.

Life is good.

but only in Pennsylvania is Intercourse near Paradise

My dog, OBL, is a [del]member[/del] senior official of Al-Quenineda, a little known group that puts fear into & targets newspapers, magazines, sofa cushions, children’s toys, etc. for udder & total destruction, preferably by shredding into thousands of tiny pieces.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 66 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of only 86. I fully expect to see an iceberg floatin’ in the pool. Also this weekend will be rainy. At this point I do not care. I just want it to be the weekend.

So, MOOOOOOM is crochetin’ a terrorist dawg. I’d have never thunk it of her!

Spidey Al-Quenineda made me giggle.

gigity sounds like a fun weekend. Enjoy!

Feel better Butters and Shortdrum.

Where are my manners! Welcome Bommy!

Now I must seek more caffiene and feed rumbly tummy. Then, alas and alack, irk purtification must commence. At least it’s Firday. Gonna be a looooooong Firday but at least it’s finally here.

Happy Firday Y’all!

Morning all!

What do you mean, “morning”? It’s almost lunchtime!

Today’s pasta came from the factory cooked - don’t tell my coworkers, shhhh…

Morning all, except to those for whom it isn’t!

It’s afternoon here too, wet and miserable yet again. Apparently we are looking at wet and windy weather for the next week at least. Clearly I need a substantial lottery win so that I can go and live somewhere with a better climate.

At work I’m going through one of those periods of having 25 things that need doing, but all of them being in other people’s hands.

Also, some of my clients are so hung up on how they used to do things that I still haven’t been able to get them to understand that you can save about 75% of the work by dealing with certain documents in a “bundled” form rather than individually: the system will be perfectly able to separate individual elements later, but you only need to enter common information once.

In other words: BLEARGH!
