I googled without success.
Not sure if they are just using the joke to describe the movie or if the joke is actually in the movie.

After a bit of research I think this falls into the catgory of “old joke.” Where does, “Why did the chicken cross the road?” come from? I guess that one you could attribute to vaudeville, but try coming up with a specific guy.
Oh, and unless you are on about 80 or so different boards it is a slightly less than unique sig.
I first heard that joke about 30 years ago and I suspect it wasn’t new then.
And then there was the time Wide World of Sports covered the World Sado-Masochist Championships. That’s right, it had the agony of victory and the thrill of defeat…
