And then do the DLCs. Save Citadel for last.
Also note that everything after “Priority: Perseus Veil” refers to some trinket that you would pick up during some other activity (either scanning a planet or doing a mission).
Not worth it, in my opinion.
I just took EDI on a mission where we meet up with Jacob. She has some great unique dialogue. “Jacob did not recognize me in this body. This may be an opportunity to surprise him.”
Here’s something you might enjoy, @Mahaloth.
What if you try to reject every squadmate in Mass Effect 1?
Every now and then, I do decide to wait until after Virmire to recruit Liara, because it’s funny.
I helped Jacob with some side mission. Thought for sure they were setting him up to die in a blaze of glory at the end, but he made it. I care about zero for Jacob out of all the characters.
I also encountered Zaeed again and got him to agree to help. Kind of an unmarked sidequest of sorts, but I feel like I wouldn’t have seen him if I didn’t stumble upon his mini-quest. I have now seen Kasumi and Zaeed, both the DLC characters from the last game.
They made Thane cooler in ME 3, but they made Jacob lamer (if that is at all possible).
In Kasumi’s mission, did you get to hear Shepard call the hanar a “big stupid jellyfish”?
He seemed pretty consistent to me, but yes, it was pretty awesome.
I don’t remember, to be honest.
Did an Ansari mission that ended up being about Samara, who I was surprised to see.
So, she actually had two other daughters. I feel like that is a retcon, but OK.
I stopped Samara from shooting herself at the end using Paragon. If you don’t, does she actually kill herself?
She mentions in ME 2 that she has three daughters and she knows of three Ardat-Yakshi. It’s a little bit odd that she apparently didn’t realise in ME 2 that her daughters were living with a bunch of other Ardat-Yakshi, though.
And yes, she kills herself. There’s no shortage of grim possibilities in ME 3!
Wow, and thanks. I guess I focused so much on her one daughter, I missed that she had others.
I like Thane more than Samara in terms of “serious, tall characters”.
The Codex in these games should have been searchable. I like reading and listening to it, but would have liked to be able to search it when I hear a term I am interested in. It’s organized into categories, but is hardly all that user friendly.
I am helping Aria right now on a mission I have now realized is DLC.
I like how the DLC is incorporated into the Legendary Edition without being marked as such so it is really part of the main game. It takes awhile to realize that it is DLC sometimes.
It is, in fact, entirely possible for a truly evil Renegade Shepard to let Samara kill herself to protect her daughter, and then kill the daughter anyway. You can really have Shepard be a complete bloody asshole in ME3, even moreso than in ME1 and 2.
Just passed 60 hours of gameplay according to Origin, though I think there are a few non-recorded hours in there due to internet going down.
Have you picked up Tali yet?
Shortly after picking up Tali, there will be a mission on a geth dreadnought. For the greatest unique dialogue, bring EDI with you.
Actually, thanks. EDI has been a great source of fun and unique dialogue, but I was probably going to ditch her once Tali is around. I may keep her for some missions.
No, I don’t have Tali, but I suspect the next mission(or so) will add her to my team. I think I saw the Quarians mentioned in it somewhere.
My key to ME3 so far has been using Liara’s Statis ability, which is now leveled all the way up. The radius is pretty large on it now and it not only holds guys for me to shoot to death, but it also now causes damage to guys and gradually kills them.
It has made a lot of battles much easier(on Normal difficulty), especially those where enemies come from one main area. We drop Stasis and EDI and I kill them.
It’s been incredibly effective, especially since my incendiary bullets are maxed out and seem to be super effective against Cerberus bad guys.
Are you talking about Stasis or Singularity? They’re both good at holding people in place, but I don’t think that Stasis does a damage-over-time, does it?
By the way, what is your favourite gun so far?
