Had the driver lived he likely would have been charged with a crime. Further, I added cases like this in response to claims my work was meaningless without it.

It is better, I think to include all the vehicular homicides I can find than excluding them all. Worst of all would be trying to include only the vehicular homicides that were “really” homicides.
How can we determine which vehicular homicides really count? Too much of a judgement call.
If you would like to exclude them, it is easy enough for you to do. But I would caution you that you are likely to be criticized by those who would prefer you do your project according to their rules.
The Internet is like that.

Other people list mass shooting. Other people list mass-killings-by-gun. There would be no reason to duplicate their work.

It is a list of mass killings by a single killer in the US in one emotional event by any criminal means.

What is your work, exactly? I am curious what you intend to do with the data? Are you going to write a book? Publish a study? I figured this was just a strange hobby or yours, but you’ve called it work, so I think there might be more to it?
