Massage styles 101: what's the difference?

For the past year or so, I’ve been getting a massage about every six weeks. I go to a local massage co-op here in Seattle, and have not settled on a particular masseuse or style. In fact, although I’ve had a number of massages, I’m pretty ignorant of the different styles, and I’m starting to think I should make more of an effort to figure out the differences.

I’m pretty sure I’ve had the basic Swedish and deep tissue style massages. I know that some practitioners do stuff like shiatsu, Hawaiian (I think), and reiki styles. And I know many others exist.

What are the differences between major massage styles? What do they feel like? If I’m familiar with Swedish, for example, what’s reiki going to feel like?

Information, please!

I’m bumping because, well, it’s been a day, and I’m about to break down and actually read a book. (Probably Bodywork, by Thomas Claire, because the library’s got a copy.) Crazy, I know.
