There is a new mastercard commericial out that focuses on the cost of home repair and the “priceless”-ness of owning a home. The song playing throughtout the commercial is a cover of Simon and Garfunkel’s “Homeward Bound.”
The vocalist on the track sounds like Rhett Miller. My research yields nothing on either Rhett Miller or the Old 97’s recording “Homeward Bound.” Does anyone know if Rhett Miller (or the Old 97’s) recorded a cover of this song? Or could it be that Madison Avenue is merely borrowing the Rhett Miller/Old 97’s sound to sell a product?
