Matt Christiano and Taco Bell Commercial

This commercial has been played way too times Who the fuck would drive 965 miles just for processed food? They have to include the general demographics a white guy, an Asian guy, a Hispanic and of course, a cute girl. And they made sure the guy’s name was christian-sounding to appeal to the hispanic/christian sectors. Adding in the gas and the stuffiness as well as the ride trip home :smack:Well played Dumbass… well played.

People really did that.

Welcome to the SDMB, GC111. I think this topic will do better in Cafe Society, which is about food and the media, including TV commercials, so I’ll move it thither.

So what? Young people do stupid crap like this all the time. When In and Out Burger opened in Dallas people waited 2+ hours to go through the drive-thru for what is ultimately a mediocre fast food meal. Do you seriously think Taco Bell used Matt Christiano because they wanted to attract a Christian demographic? As for the Hispanic, Asian and white guy thing they had going, they’re damned if they do and damned if they don’t. If they don’t show diversity in their commercials then someone bitches about that. When they do, someone bitches about it anyway.

I call that commercial “Rat faced miscreant drives his slacker friends hundreds of miles to get a taco.” I also grab for the remote the instant it comes on.

Damnit, Taco Bell, what happened? Your commercials used to be cool, now they’re bottom of the barrel. And with this barrel, that’s really saying something.

All the time huh. How many people do you know have ever driven that far just for taco bell? I’ve never had In and Out Burger but I’ve heard good feedback on the food so I don’t think it’s a mediocre fast food meal. And even if it was Taco Bell is at the bottom of the barrel even by fast food standards.

QFT now we have matt christiano’s exaggerated reaction eating a crumbling taco 20 times per playoff game.
