According to the latest FEC filings, Gaetz has raised $3.28 million in campaign contributions so far this year, the 11th highest total among all House members. Anyone who’s dismissing out-of-hand the prospect of him getting reelected had better think again.
As far as I know, there’s no law prohibiting a person from serving in the HoR from prison. I supposed he can’t cast votes or serve on a committee, but perhaps he can finish his term and run for re-election as “House adjacent.”

I am of the opinion that any publicity is good publicity. We should just ignore them until the indictments come out. The less I hear about Greene or Gaetz the better.
I’lll say that their publicity is good only for a certain moronic demographic, and for everyone else - scorn, outrage, (albeit gallows) humour, along with a perfectly fine appetite for the appraising of their next gong-showery.
I think outrage just plays into their hands. Followers of these dopes love to own the libs. They’ll vote for anyone who generates liberal outrage.
But if our outrage plays into their hands to utterly zero effect other than to further bolster their own useless, insular mindset (that I foresee being a dieing rather than growing trend, demographically), then those durned lib-owners can wallow in all that “good” publicity all they want.
On a more relevant note…Hopefully Mark Mothersbaugh has never been too offended by Gaetz’s hair.
