Maupassant collection in French

Does anyone know of a collection of stories by Maupassant in French that contains most or all of the following stories: “Mlle Perle,” “la Ficelle,” “La Parure,” “La Cabane”? I am looking for a collection with such stories for a class in order to minimize expenses… the professor said he couldn’t find a collection with all of them… but shouldn’t there be an anthology of all of his more famous works in the language he wrote them in?

Thanks for the help,

I just did a Google search and found a number of different collections for De Maupassant in French. As good as we at SDMB are, Google might be a touch better source for this question.

Most of the published volumes of Maupassant’s work I’ve seen have been the original collections. The only complete short story collections I’ve seen have been in English; likewise, the volume I have that has his most famous short stories is also in English.

However, I believe the works are in the public domain by now, since I’ve seen them readily available on the internet, and G. de M. died quite some time ago. Perhaps Xeroxes can be arranged?

That is a good idea dragonblink… Thanks for the help

There is a 2-volume french collection of his tales, but each of the volumes is 27 euros.

Volume 1

Volume 2

I found a used book with the following:
Mademoiselle Perle, La Ficelle, La Parure - german bookseller, 5.00 euros

Individually, we have:
La Parure - 1.5 euros
La Ficelle - 4.45 euros

Are you sure that there’s a story called “La Cabane”? It’s not listed here (Maupassant page)

I’m sure you don’t want a Pléiade collection, those are expensive.

If you want to take Dragonblink’s suggestion, here are some online texts:

Mademoiselle Perle and La Ficelle (see table of contents in the left frame)

La parure (see table of contents in the left frame)
