Maybe This Is This Week's MMP

50[sup]0[/sup] yesterday, 24[sup]0[/sup]. Rumored for a low of 9[sup]0[/sup] Tuesday night.

Then the gimpy let will offset the rolling seas so you can make it to the bathroom to puke just fine.

Ummm, what do you know about future promotions?

Sounds good, Forgetful.

There is an actual degree sign (“°”); you don’t have to use zeros.

High for the day is/was 61°at 12:01am; it’s now down to 28°/18°…& I gotta go out.

Have not read but will. I just spent over an hour looking for my phone. Went through the trash, did all the furniture. It was dead thus no calling it though I tried that too. I have a headache today. I wonder why?

I am so mad at the world and especially all my staff; bunch of old and not so old bitties and bitches.

Screw staff. Who needs ‘em?

sari, at least it isn’t your son who gets the dammit prefix. Charlie Douglas-Me And Dammit Ray (The Talking Outhouse) - YouTube

I’m sorry about Pooka Bear sunny. I know it hurts your heart. Hugs.

Nelson seems to be puzzled by our 1/4" of snow. Now that the wind has died down, I’m willing to spend a little more time for him to check it out.

Towels and sheets are about to go into the dryer, the puppy crate has been cleaned, I’m breakfasted and caffeinating and just about to do KP. I’ll put some red beans on for red beans and rice for supper and marinate some cukes and onions for a green veggie. Now to wake up the pup sleeping on my lap. <3

Mine are bigger than yours.

Sings “a mage has a staff with a knob on the end…” and blames Butters for any rain that may cause.

It’s a pretty day, but also cold as an old nun’s tits. Did laundry, planning on spending the weekend at home trying to kill this cold. Did my grocery shopping yesterday and got a bunch of stuff from the vegetable-stuffs section; I normally eat more of those in the weekend than during the week. Today’s lunch was berries, dinner will be my first attempt at making an omelette (tuna and saucisson) in a Lékué omelette-maker. My mother really likes potato omelettes and artichoke omelettes but she’s finding it more and more difficult to flip the pan: if the gizmo works well, I plan on gifting it to her. Despite the French-looking name, it’s a Spanish company: they specialize in making silicon-based gizmos to cook in the microwave (some of their stuff includes parts in hard plastic).

Yours are, what’s the word, ahhh, yeah, “deformed” :dubious:

I don’t know which rag it was, but something that **FCD **tossed in the hamper has made my entire load of towels reek of something dirty or chemical or a combination. So I get to rewash the whole load, pulling out any non-bathroom and non-kitchen towels. Usually he just throws his sweat rags into the hamper, but somehow one of the cleaning rags got mixed in and I missed it (because all the rags are old towels…) I just love re-washing clean laundry.

Temp has stabilized in the 35-36° neighborhood. It’s windy, but no precip as far as I can tell. Glad I’m indoors.

Yesterday we lost 30 degrees in about an hour. Just now I spent an hour thawing out the car so its basically usable (we have a celebration of life we should attend) because basically it was a block of ice. And tonight they are saying we’ll be sub-zero when yesterday we were like 60 at the high.

BUT THE BIG NEWS is that Subaru is coming out with an SUV that has 19 — yes that is right 19 - cup holders in an 8 passenger vehicle. Some of them admittedly are designed only for bottles and not cups but being Americans we can totally ignore those warning and hydrate ourselves out the ying-yang. I can’t wait for them to hit the dealerships just so I can go and glory in the magnificence that is modern engineering. Heck – my 1959 9 passenger wagon didn’t have even one cupholder; just those little circular dents on the inside of the glove box lid. How did we ever survive driving those death (by dehydration) traps?

My closing shift is in the hospital:(. Gonna have to work tonight.

Assignment has now reached the stage at which I think it’s done, but I’ll keep poking at it until Monday.

It’s been soggy and windy here all day. Our temperature has been within -2 and 10ºC for the last month. Your weather is being silly, and I’d complain if I were you.

I have achieved shopping, pottering around doing research for other skool irk, a bit of kitchen cleaning and attempts to silently play violin ('cos I can hear the neighbour clearing his throat today, I’ll be able to hear him breathe by the end of the week).

I should attempt cooking, but I went shopping, and thus snacks were purchased and absent-mindedly devoured, so I’m not hungry. I should eat something which contains vitamins and protein and stuff though.

Painting is done. Laundry is on-going. FCD’s former coworker came over and got the last of his stuff. I’m thinking we should have lunch. What to have… what to have…

I’ll play. Kid announcing they just threw up.

Hang in there Butters. Days when you’ve had no sleep are hard. {{{hugs}}}

NOOOOOooooooo!!

Ruble Did that 1959 wagon have seat belts? Death trap in more ways than one I’m thinking.

Sorry about the extra shift doggio. Do they not have anyone else who works there? Seems like you are always getting stuck like this.

Glad the assignment is over Nut.

Spidey heck if I know how to make that degrees sign. It’s one of those alt+four digit thingies isn’t it. Sigh.

It’s 45-ish at the moment. We’re down from yesterday, but not 30 degrees. Stupid weather swings are hell on my back and haid though. I foresee a day of cuddling with furry things, like cats, watching movies, and naps. Still need to get some grocery shopping done.

Which reminds me, Nava, I don’t understand those idioms from your post. The one you said to Butters, and the other one. I’m guessing they’re translated from Spanish? Can you explain? Also, I think you don’t have a nickname. If you don’t have one, what about Chiqui (family nickname on husband’s side) or Viajera (wanderer, since you move around so often)?

We have a different form of government, and are not allowed to do that.

“Land of the Free”, my Aunt Sally!

The cat making “I’m about to hork a hairball” noises while perched on the headboard with his/her face above yours.

The sound of a dog vomiting on the bed, that you’re sleeping in.

I don’t know how to make degree signs either. Iffn you tell me, I’ll forget in about 30 seconds.

It’s quiet here in Bumbaland at the moment. The rain has stopped for a couple of days, but I don’t have any plans to take advantage of that fact.

Ehhh, nothing else to report.

You realize what this means, doancha? Now even the upscale redneck can say to their car, “Here, hold my beer.”

::raids Doggio’s beer stash::

Actually, I now need to go out & get some beer to have while watching the Iggles game. I was s’posed to be watching it from the Catskills but this @#$%&* weather the past two days has forced them to send out an email that tomorrow’s race is postponed.

May I suggest you hang up the phone!

<Alt>+0176 Or, you can go into charmap (type “Charmap” from the start menu) & copy/paste it in.

I kinda like Aunt Sally; mebbe that’s what I’ll get.

Siam Sam may have warmer weather than we do, but then we don’t have any incoming ballistic missles.

Sunny, I think **doggio **is the head honcho, ergo he gets stuck when his underlings don’t show.

And the degree symbol is ALT+0176. You’re welcome! Or you can cheat and pull up the Character Map if that’s available on your computer. It’s in the Arial font section, maybe in others, too.

We went to not-too-awful Chinese for lunch. **FCD **is now napping. I’ve folded the re-washed towels - they no longer stink. There’s a load of t-shirts, etc, in the dryer and another in the washer. Last load will be unders.

The sun is out, but it’s still under 40° and windy. How much longer till spring??

I have a Mac. I will look up how to do it without programming.

Brekkie was burritos, with homemade salsa and tortillas. Yum!
