Maybe This Is This Week's MMP

Howdy Y’all! We visited Miss Becky and then had N.O.L. I just put the brisket in the oven to slow cook. 'Tis cold and windy out but N.O.S. Anywho, 'tis warm in da cave so it’s all good. Oh, we had steak 'n chikin fajitas for N.O.L. YUM! We’s both stuffded so any suppage shall be via forage for what you want.

It’s a tropical 18 in no. Illinois. Had a lesson with Ariel today. She was good once she ran on the lunge line and bucked and ran… I have had a bit of gastric upset today and when I did a good cough, well, let’s say that underwear went in the trash…

Perhaps that is why Grandmother left the Land of Lincoln. Fat lot of good it did if it gets to 9[sup]o[/sup] Tuesday.

The staff thing is from Pterry. The “bad singing makes it rain” is from Asterix. Allow me to introduce you to Assurancetourix the bard.

Can’t be Chiqui, as I’m the eldest sister; since my one older cousin died, I’m even the oldest cousin. My brother Jay is Chiqui (he’s the youngest of the cousins with our lastname, there is a younger cousin but his lastname is different), it would be really weird for me to be called Chiqui. Chiqui (shortening of chiquito, “little one”) refers to a child under age 10 or to the youngest cousin; I’m neither.

There’s so many cousins on that side of the family, I’m surprised that we don’t have 15 Chiquis! Hmmm. What else, what else. Wanderer, Tumbleweed, Rolling Stone, Free Bird (I’ll stop now). MMP - what say you?

ETA - I remember Asterix now, but it’s been years! I think I read him in high school.

I replaced my keyboard with only two screws left over. Nothing has fallen off, so I’m good to go.

But you are still not a bot, right?

Laundry is done - YAY! **FCD **woke up just in time to help me fold and stow the last of it. Supper will be foraged. The rest of the day shall be chillage.

He’s ‘Cacofonix’ in the English translation.

Yeah I did just go get one of the books off the shelf to double check. I own far more children’s books than you’d expect for someone my age with no kids.

Brisket is makin’ da cave smell so nummy! It might get sampled even though we’re both still full of fajitas.

Howsabout those screws in your haid; didja tighten those loose ones?

As long as he’s not a spider I’m happy.

butters, how’s you head?

The chores are mostly done, except for after supper KP. The red beans and rice hit the spot on a winter day. This afternoon, I broke cabin fever to fill the car up with gas, go to the supermercado for some limes, queso fresco for this week’s salads, tortillas and a pineapple. I need to start going there for some of the produce before heading to the big grocery sto’ as their limited selection is much better priced and pretty good quality. Tomorrow, I shall heathenate and pick up the paper tablet and pen that I left at the Pubic Sto’ yesterday.

I’m watching the Titans play the Pats in the playoffs this evening. Go Titans!

Iggles won!
Now, go [del]not Cheatriots[/del] Titans!

Seat belts for the front and middle; lap only. I installed 4-points for the front connected to the frame but luckily I never needed them. The Suicide Seats on that car was actually the cool part - they were forward-facing not that it mattered with the tailgate and 200 pounds of shattering glass basically at the back of your neck and the gas tank under your feet. That was also the first car I ever saw or owned with a split read seat so you could drop just one side of the middle row/seat for longer loads. I think IIRC that that was an option but mine had them.

I actually very much miss both of the Villagers I had but the 6 passenger the most. The darn thing was a tank the size of a small township, got OK gas mileage, packed a load, and would crawl home no matter if it wanted to or not. I got it with like 160k, did a full rebuild, and then put like another 100k or so on it. One time the radiator gave up up and the top of the tank folded over. With basically an open top it still made it 60 miles home without overheating and I only lost about a gallon to spillage. If it wasn’t for bad luck and youth I would probably be driving the durn thing.

I know – I know. But call me odd. Even today I think I would rather take a normal accident in a 50s car than a newer one; at least the two accidents I’ve had in my life. In both cases I still wouldn’t have been injured and the damage to the vehicle would probably have been way less. I had a lady rip the bumper off her car on my 6 passenger when it was parked. She did over $1000 1984 dollars damage to her car and about $75 to mine.

Hey now! PBRs come in bottles! As long as its got the Blue Ribbon, some redneck somewhere is drinking it!

PS – congrats to the Eagles. Very interesting game all around.

I missed a great Alumni Game. Hope shift is OK.:frowning:

Yes

Spent 5 hours in the gym with 7-10 year olds on a 20F day. Not one of my best refereeing jobs, but the parents and coaches are so grateful that they don’t have to referee they overlook any mediocrity on my part.

Watched some tackleball and did some reading, but sleepage will be soon.

Nice and toasty all week long. Well, a little coolish at night. We could turn the ceiling fan’s speed down a little. We dodged nuclear holocaust today, so it could have gotten warmer. But 78 degrees right now at 6:45pm.

You realize if course that I never liked you.

Wait ----- actually I do like you.

It’s Flytrap I never liked.

Nevermind.

Of course I woke at 5AM on Sunday, because that’s the way I roll.

It’s 16° and this morning, we’re *finally *going to see the latest Star Wars offering. When it first came out, it was on half a dozen screens at the theater (or it seemed that way.) Now it’s down to a single screen. When I checked last night, absolutely no one had any seats reserved for the 9:40 showing, so I certainly didn’t bother buying an advance ticket, especially with the $1.35 per ticket “convenience fee.” Lessee, I get to pay extra so they don’t have to do anything special, right? Yeah, right…

French toast for breakfast when **FCD **gets up. Then after the movie, we’ll stop at Aldi (which is in the adjacent parking lot) and I’ll get some more eggs, and maybe even some bread! That pretty much sums up today’s big plans.

Happy Sunday!!
