Back from the vet. More fluids, pain meds and more antibiotics. Her fever is less than yesterday but just a little higher than normal. He said she should feel better tonight and his best guess is an insect bite. Just do not know…I guess the bad stuff like FELV and whatever has been ruled out. Of course she has had all her shots.
Exam done. I’m not worried that I’ve failed or anything, but I’m pretty annoyed about it; some of the questions were quite in depth on topics that were just mentioned in passing in lectures, so we were tested on stuff we weren’t actually taught. The lecturer just quit… I’m sure those two facts are entirely unconnected :rolleyes: I shall Have Words, 'cos that ain’t fair.
I think I probably did OK anyway, because I have studied those topics before, and I can remember from then, but that course was not a prerequisite to this one, so that really ain’t the point.
Remember last week, I said I’d ordered a violin? Well, I went to pick it up from the delivery office on the way home. I did notice the box seemed a bit light. Turns out, I’ve been sent a 1/16th size one. The order form defaults to that, even though all the info given on the main page is for full size, and I just didn’t notice. It’s teeny. Toddler size.
So yeah, I accidentally bought the world’s smallest violin.
They’re switching it out, but the mistake was mine, so I have to pay extra for the return, and the grownup size one is slightly more. plays … well…

Howdy Y’all! I’ve been busy today. Follow-up at the dentist went well. Since I was close, I also made a trip to :eek:Wally*World:eek: where I got some comestibles, undies, and socks. Came back to da cave and put everything away, dusted and vacuumed, and have a poke roast in the slow cooker. Oh, I also ironed shirts finally. Now I am munchin’ popcorn and lookin’ at teh intartoobz.

have her checked for "fatty liver " apparently the fleabags get thid after a few days of not eating although it can cause then not to eat if it happens before they stop …
its raining in the desert …now if it keeps up it will look pretty in the spring dry out in summer and well have our normal fall bbq … Although I just hope it has it snow up in the hills enough so we don’t get water rationing again …
We have now achieved all three types of weather emergency school closings in a three-day span. Thursday: snow day. Friday: 2-hour delay due to subzero wind chill. Today: early closing due to freezing rain. So I’m home from work at 2:30pm. That’s just fine with me.
Hubby called and said he went and checked on her and Scooter is feeling better he believes. Said she is moving around and was happy to see him. She has just been staying hunkered down in one spot so moving around is good. Now I hope she will eat and drink tonight.
Almost time to think about heading home.
It started raining as I drove home. I was going to make burgers for supper, but it turns out we didn’t have any patties in the freezer, so instead, we’re having sketties. I’ll stop for burgers tomorrow.
The rest of today shall be mostly chillage.
Glad Scooter is feeling better.
Pooka decided he could do the entire flight of stairs by himself for one [del]scooby snack[/del] dog biscuit. He made it! Yay!
I am feeling very much as though a nap would be fantastic right now. It may happen.

It’s a heat wave! 36 degrees. Back to regularly scheduled cold this weekend though. Lasted 6 hours at work before hitting the wall.
It’s still above freezing - yay!! Tomorrow is supposed to be sunny and even warmer - YAAAAAY! I want the snow on our roof to melt so the gutter cleaners can do their job on Thursday.
Sketties were good. I think I shall assume the chill position.
We supped upon poke roast, baked sweet N.O.T., baby lima beans, and rolls. The leftover poke roast will turn into bbq sammiches tomorrow with slaw and fries. I love it when I can get two different meals out of one entrée.
you know I want to live in a shed at swampbears just so I can eat the cooking… it sounds miles better than the slop that gets called edible around here …
It has been my experience that food is a great encouragement to dogs.

Thats funny nut. The smallest violin I’ve ever seen was a 1/4 size and it was for a five year old beginning lessons.
