Blurf. First proper day back. Grumpy words were not had, as apparently I’m the only one who cares that we were tested on stuff we weren’t taught. I asked everyone else, and they basically went ‘Yeah, but it’s OK, the rest of it wasn’t bad, so I think I passed anyway’
I’m still gonna say, but the guy I should be talking about it was running round like a headless chicken, and if I’m the only one who cares, and it didn’t actually affect me much, it can wait.
Today’s class was 0 theory, just planting out ferns at the centre. Relaxing contrast.
Hey, want to hear something, umm, interesting, and kind of icky, that I found out last night?..
…My roommate and I have unknowingly been using the same toothbrush!
She was accidentally using my toothbrush (I know it’s mine because it has my dentist’s info on it, although that writing was starting to fade.)
Anyway, we got it sorted out, and she’ll use her own toothbrush from now on.
Not a big deal, really.
Any time the doctor doesn’t demand cash us front, consider it a victory. I interpret it as a strong belief that I will live at least long enough to pay a bill.
Cleaning ladies are here today. I can’t actually do any of the picking up that must be done before the people clean. Hang up coats instead of throw them on chairs, that sort of thing. I can’t bend over or life anything so it’s big mess. I figured better to at least get a few rooms restored to order.
Midget maybe just get a new toothbrush? Failing that, run yours through the dishwasher? I guess you’ve lived this long, but you might as well start off fresh.
I was able to run the car thru the carwash - it’s not perfect, but the worst of the road crud is gone, so huzzah! I stopped at Food Lion for some burgers and somehow, a carton of Tin Roof Sundae wound up in my arms. Can you imagine?? So supper will be crinkle fries and burgers.
It was in the low 50s as I drove home. By Sunday, highs will be in the 30s again, but for a few days, we’ll get a reprieve.
The plumber comes tomorrow to remove my terlets and install the new ones I bought. The anticipation is…blurf.
Mac-n-cheese has been consumed for dinner and some crunching on celery is next on the list. MooooM, I do not buy French fries for Casa rat (especially the crinkle cut ones) because I’m too big now and fries in the house would be to much of a temptation (same reason Potato Chips and Oreo cookies stay off my grocery list).
Nut, I only have three working brain cells myself, so can’t help, since one is off sick and the other is visiting his family in Mussleburg.
Midget, another vote for a new toothbrush, just because…Ewwww
I’ve begun the purple afghan. I’ve ingested ice cream. We watched the last hour or so of The Lion in Winter. It’s been a lazy evening. And now, I’m heading off to bed. Thus endeth Tuesday.
Scooter the cat AKA Sister DRANK water this afternoon. 4 or 5 times and ate a few crunchies. I have never been so happy for an animal to drink. At the vet today she had more blood drawn and was force fed some canned food. Dr. Is scratching his head and spent an hour looking up stuff in books. We have no idea what’s wrong except she has an infection of unknown origin. All I know is we are spent out on vet bills. We have spent over a thousand dollars in the last three days. She needs to get well. Hopefully we are on the path to good health again.
My car tires are in and I hope to get it back tomorrow. I have been driving my hubs new mini cargo van. It’s nice and all but I want my car. He has pulled the trigger on his new service vehicle. He flys to ATL and drives it back this weekend. It is a Ford with a KUV body which is full of compartments for organization. It is pretty big. And believe it or not the price was about 10K cheaper by getting it in Atlanta vice Miami.
Have a good night everyone. Nettie. Long time no see. Waves.
**MetalMouse ** congrats on new terlets. I am sure you are excited.
