Home. We’re going out for supper because **FCD **has cabin fever and I just don’t feel like cooking.
Very busy day, and another ahead tomorrow. And again on Firday. I picked a heckuva week to start working full time again! 
We have supped upon grilled salmon, succotash, wild rice (tastes good just doesn’t behave well), and rolls. MOOOOOOM I use minced garlic, salt, pepper, and lemon juice. Simple but it’s good.
You can lead a horticulture but she still charges a hundred bucks an hour.
I had Chunky Sirloin Burger for dinner.
Ripple got most of the carrots and green beans because I don’t like carrots and green beans.
Now he is curled up next to me taking a nap. AFAIK the cat is still napping on my bed. He usually sleeps on the night stand but yesterday he knocked the lamp off and I think that scared him a bit.
**FCD **sleeps between 2 long pillows - he needs the support since his surgeries - and since we make the bed by just pulling the blankets and comforter up, that leaves a little cave under the covers between the pillows. That’s where Taz likes to nap during the day. In the evening when I’m crocheting on my recliner, he likes to either lie across my lap or curl up next to me, stealing my body heat. He’s a hoot!
Ziva isn’t a cuddler. She spends lots of time under my side of the bed or curled up in a ratty old pet bed in the dining room. She may come to me for skritches, but that rarely lasts longer than 5 minutes or so.
It’s going to be interesting when we have 3 more cats in the mix…
Bumba, I’m old but not quite decrepit yet; the toilets are an inch or two higher than my previous ones. They’re Kohler models, and I think Home Depot messed up, one has a elongated seat and the other is circular; but they were the same price and I’m not going to fuss about it.
Had several pieces of Garlic Cheese toast this afternoon because I had the nibbles, so of course now I have no appetite for dinner. Eating just two meals a day (which has become my habit) has probably helped keep the weight off, but it does lead to chame amended eating plans.
New restaurants opening this month in Huntsville, will have to go forth and check them out. One advertises slow-baked meatloaf…we shall see.
emily, I think I’d go for a new toothbrush too.

metal mouse, if I ever have the opportunity to remodel another bathroom, you betcha I’d put in the high potties. I advised my sister to do that when she did her remodel and she was glad. IIRC, you are a fairly tall guy, so it may actually be a more comfortable height anyway.
I found out today that my first cousin’s house had a CO leak and that her husband was in the hospital and she had passed. They had no detector and just fell asleep. She had a rough life and things were actually getting better for them since retirement. Her kids are just a couple of years younger than I am and I really feel for them. If any of y’all have no detector, please install one, especially if you use auxilliary heat sources during the winter.
How sad Red. I am sorry. Hope her husband recovers. Scary. We do not have any and I will get some in memory of her.
Seems quite a waste of good butter and garlic.
Try chopping them and frying with onion and garlic in bacon grease.
Damn third world kitchens.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 63 Amurrkin out and cloudy with a predicted high of 75 and cloudy with a chance of rain for the day. Rain will be movin’ in tonight and tomorrow and then temps will return to January normal. Weather be weird. The bug man comes this mornin’ around eight. When he finishes his thing I shall make a trip to the Harvey’s Sto’ as chikin is on sale so it’s a good time to buy. I am goin’ to make pancakes, scrambled aigs and snausages for sup. I got me a gnawin’ and a cravin’.

This place (a B&B) is, interestin’; feels like I’m on a cruise ship as there’s a noticeable list to the room; about 2-3" across.
Remember when everyone had a StarTac, & then a Razr phone? As someone who currently has a Motorola phone, I don’t lknow why they so screwed the pooch in their UI. Need to log into the phone to do anything w/ the alarm, snooze it, lower the volume, etc. I;m sure I woke up all the other guests thru the paper-thin walls before I could put in my password; especially when one isn’t yet fully away & having this thing screaming at you :mad:…& the whole phone part? Gawd, that sux, biiiig time. I’ve only had this one for some months & I’m seriously thinking about getting something else because it sucks so much. :mad:

Coincidentally, we got our 2 CO detectors delivered this week. They’re on the kitchen counter awaiting installation. One will go in the hallway outside the bedrooms and the other will be in the furnace room, which also happens to be my studio. New 10-year smoke detectors are due next week.
So sad to hear about CO deaths… 
Weather weirdness here, too. It’s supposed to get into the 50s today, with the temp rising overnight so we awaken to 60s tomorrow. Then it’ll plummet. Rain is also promised, but I hope it holds off long enough for the gutter guys to de-gunkify our gutters.
Bizarro dream last night - we were living in a different, bigger house, but the master bathroom didn’t have a terlet. There was space for one, but no plumbing, and we couldn’t figure out why. So we called in a plumber and he looked under the house and said he’d be back… then I woke up. Moral of the story - don’t buy a house if the bathroom lacks a terlet. You’re welcome.
