Maybe This Is This Week's MMP

Lunch break!!!

It’s been a busy morning. C’mon weekend!!

Being unusually productive today in honor of the warmer weather. Started some laundry, got the car serviced, did all the windows on the first floor. Now I am thinking a short nap before work just to balance out the universe.

One thing I do really like about my iPhone is being able to silence even while the phone is locked, or to log in with a finger print, if I need to do it in a hurry. I’m sure some of the manufacturers have similar things.

Please check the instructions. If I remember correctly, they need to go near the floor, as CO settles, which is unlike smoke detectors. I might be wrong though…

Weather weirdness here. The weather sites are saying “rain”, which is pretty average. It’s not “rain”. It’s a storm. High winds, driving rain, big mess. A little more information would have been nice.

My family is nuts. Last night we agreed to go to a sushi restaurant. We got there and there was a taco place next door. Hubby wanted to go there. We went there, and then we went to the sushi place, and then we went to the pizza place upstairs.

I’m hiding in my room and pretending the world is not outside. Go me!

Feel better everyone.

I don’t know if I am the 1st or the 4,000,001st to point this out, but if you put Monty Python’s Funniest Joke In The World(“Wenn ist das Nunstück git und Slotermeyer? Ja! Beiherhund das Oder die Flipperwaldt gersput!?”) into Google Translate, the response is

[FATAL ERROR]

I thought it was about a peanut being assaulted.

Not feeling well today. Stomachache/headache/drowsiness. Probably a combination of late nights, and eating too much crap food lately. The nasty fall probably doesn’t help things.
Also, I’m not entirely sure I took my anti-depressants last night.
I don’t feel sad today, though, just not particularly healthy and functional.
Gonna be fun practicing my clarinet, and then going to a rehearsal tonight.
I’ll see how it goes.

Happy Thorsday!

It’s a balmy 57 degrees outside.
I should get the dressed so we can sit on the porch for a bit.
Enjoy it while it lasts.

This is why Ripple is Ripple http://i1277.photobucket.com/albums/y494/folwawup/Ripple/20170927_114355_zpsrkuev89r.jpg

No ‘s’ on the end, which is what I wanted but I had to compromise and take the ‘s’ off to make Sah-son happy.
I thought I had picked an unique name (I should know better) but I have since found (online) 3 other shar pei named Ripple, a big bad dog in Canada https://globalnews.ca/news/1622922/watch-video-of-mike-sobel-and-ripple-the-dogs-weather-forecast-goes-viral/, and a service dog https://freedomservicedogs.org/ripple-video/

{{{Midget}}} {{{Rockin’}}} and {{{Nava}}}
I hope y’all feel better soon.

I’m sorry about your cousin {{{Red}}}
I have CO detectors, they plug right into an outlet.

Actually, CO is slightly lighter than air, so it mixes well, hence the danger. The main warnings are to mount them out of drafts, 5-6’ above floor level, and away from batteries and something else that we don’t have in the house. Anyway, we chose the locations based upon the warnings and recommendations. And the new smoke alarms will just replace the old smoke alarms, with the addition of one in the basement.

OK, back to work for 15 more minutes…

58[sup]o[/sup] at 6:00 AM, rain today and a low of 26[sup]o[/sup].
63[sup]o[/sup] now an a frozen precipitation advisory tonight.
BUT, I have ensured that we will not lose power by replacing the generator!

It’s natural gas detectors then, I think. Thank you for edumacating me.

Sari Ripple is cute as a button!

Midget I’m feeling a bit blue today myself. {{{hugs}}}

HRH I thought their funniest joke was something about the queen and Princess Diana , but maybe that was just John Cleese as a stand alone act.

Blurf Me and one of my clerks decided to get out of the office and ramble today. We had a great lunch and went and walked around the seaport and one beach and since we were really working visited some vendors and picked up brochures to bring back to the office.

On one of stops was a CVS. When we came back through the gate I couldn’t find my ID. Searched the car. Called CVS and it was there. Must have fell out when I got my keys out to leave. Thank God it was found and turned in as these CAC cards are a pain in the ass to replace.

Home. Poke chops for supper. Gutters are clean - life is good!

spidey, Motorola has gone downhill since the heyday of the Blackberry. I loved my RZR, but my Motorola smart phone was a dud. My company doesn’t even insure much of a market for them anymore.

nava and rockin’, did you wash your hands before posting? :dubious:

Good for you Moooom on the CO detectors. As you can attest, they aren’t even that expensive.

emily, some of your symptoms do sound like a mild concussion. Hie thee to a physician!

sari, Ripple is a real cutie.

My cousin’s husband is improving but still in the horsepistol. Their little dog succombed as well. My heart really goes out to him; he’s lost his wife, his dog and his home is in the process of getting the faulty furnace repaired (in lake effects snow country) in his home. It’s so sad about Chacoguy. I still have one of his rafting guide tee shirts he sent one year in a Xmas card. I will remember him every time I put it on.

CANES WIN!!!

Ripple is cute, sari. :skritches :

Midget I didn’t make the connection to the fall when I read your post earlier today. Please go to the dr and get checked for a concussion. Your list of symptoms really does sound like a concussion. They can really last for a while, and you need to baby your brain. Take care.

Back to my schedule of cuddling with cat.

Up, caffeinated ,and sheveled. Off to work. Hockey after work.

Semi-rainy, very warm morning - it’s in the 60s!!! Tomorrow’s high will be mid-30s…

I think my backup lights are burned out so I need to check them out when I get home. I was almost afraid my brake lights were out, too, or my tail lights, since backing out of the driveway was unusually dark. I know at a minimum, the 3rd brake light works, but I almost went back and exchanged the car for the truck. I don’t like to be lightless…

Thus endeth my first 40-hour week in months!! Happy Firday anyway!!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and already caffeinated (been up since four a.m.) so no YAWN. ‘Tis 64 Amurrkin out and rainyish with a predicted high of 66 and rain/tstorms/apocalypse this mornin’ into early afternoon. We shall have a cool down tomorrow. If’n the weather clears I will go to the nursin’ home to see Miss Becky. Not goin’ if’n it’s stormy however. We shall sup upon lasagna courtesy of Stouffer this evenin’. Other than the maybe visit, no biggie plans for the day which is fine by me.

{{{Sickies}}} get better soonest.

OK, rumbly tummy demands that I feed it, so I shall. Then I suppose I should purtify.

Happy Firday Y’all!

Doesn’t seem to make sense. CO’s molecular weight (28) is equal to that of N[sub]2[/sub] and lower than that of O[sub]2[/sub] (32); assuming a location had the conditions to produce a concentration gradation, the CO would be more common on the higher than the lower parts.

The one that’s heavier than N[sub]2[/sub] and O[sub]2[/sub] is CO[sub]2[/sub] (40).

Today my boss asked me if I was “all healthy already”. I asked him if he knew what a cold is. He didn’t know they last about a week.

pokes the screen with her bug-infested hands

Woke up at 4:15am. No idea why, but couldn’t get back to sleep. Nappage is predicted in the near future. Wanted to have BLT for breaking fast, but all out of T, so may try to make a store run.

It’s 61F right now, but the temperature is predicted to drop like the housing market in 2008 and be down near freezing by this afternoon. We shall see.

Midget, I concur with red and Sunny some of those are symptoms of a concussion; I’d get it checked out. (Not a doctor, but coach youth soccer and have to take concussion training every year).

Nava, don’t you know bosses never feel sick, so you shouldn’t either?:p;)
