You jest but in truth most of southern Wyoming is taken care of by Colorado papers. The Star-Tribune is Wyoming’s largest circulation paper (daily 30,745) and the only one distributed statewide.
i saw our center city philly headquarters on cnn! it is really surreal to see the place i spend my days in on cnn. with people i know talking!
i’m with ya 5-4 fighting. i’ve been at the obama office since i got laid off. good group of people and keeps me out of trouble.
perhaps i’ll see you there tomorrow.
oop, nearly forgot!
sun. night the gov. of montana was on ms maddow’s show.
he believes that montana will go blue. his theory?
that the undecideds in his state and other western states will break for barr, not mccain. he feels that many in the mountain west lean toward the libertarian side.
interesting.
Huh, maybe they’re moldering in some ditch somewhere.

I’ll be in North Philly, around Allegheny, N. Broad, etc. (I’m still figuring out the City).

Oh! I forgot to tell you guys. We’ve been having a lot of foreign journalists who’ve been shadowing the groups from New York to Philadelphia and covering the campaign and election in general. I was interviewed and may end up on Parisian TV!

woo, cool, you may get a call from the french prime minister!
you will be quite a bit away from where i am. think central park (as n. broad) and mid town (where c.c. office is).
i’ll face north and wave though!
The first thing I think a Democratic Congress needs to do is establish a federal law against election tampering. From what I read about the Virginia case (where the official seal was used in a document to tell Democrats not to vote on Tuesday), Virginia is one of the few places where such tactics are actually illegal.
It should be a federal crime to interfere with an election, to publish misinformation about a candidate’s positions or about election locations and times. It’s just completely disgusting to me that anybody thinks miseducating voters is in any way democratic.
Quoth Liberal:
That’s because Obama is made of rubber, and McCain is made of glue.
Speaking of weird… I’m in Columbus, Ohio and of course I’ve been getting a LOT of calls from the Obama campaign workers. Today my phone rang and the CallID had an abbreviated form of Planned Parenthood. I answered the phone and a woman identified herself as from the Obama campaign and went through the normal GOTV type stuff. Then when she gave me my polling location, it was wrong. Dead wrong. Not the location next to mine, or even near mine… but completely wrong part of town wrong.
Didn’t think much of it at the time as I have my card from the board of elections with the location but considering some of the things people are now starting to report it makes me wonder.
Oh, and I got a door hanger today from the Obama campaign including the CORRECT location for me.

Caller ID can be spoofed, and I’m not sure if its legal for the folks at PP to be making election related calls.
Of course they do. It’s even legal-sized! (though they keep it in the governor’s house for safekeeping)

25 hours to go until the final polls are closed (well, 26 for Alaska). My stomach is tied in knots. Thanks to all the GOTV people. 538 quotes the St. Crispin day speech today. I wish I could be there standing with you band of brothers (and sisters). Again, heartfelt thanks to you all!
I just checked my CallerID - “PLANNED PARENT” is what showed up.
I’ve been disenfranchised!

According to Rasmussen, McCain is now slightly leading in several states he was slightly behind in.
That probably explains this other article in the same blog, about how the McCain campaign is “more enthusiastic than ever.”
Sometimes we just need to be reminded.
Yeah, it’s probably kinda hokey to some of the youngins, and VERY hokey to the more cynical, but I have seen such power in the dreams of so many that tomorrow may be the St Crispian’s Day of modern politics, where entire populations are lifted from their base estates to say, “America is OURS TOO!” I never expected to live to see this. God bless all you forkers!
On the other hand, a year from now it’ll probably be politics as usual. So it goes.
Oh no, I’ve not forgotten Katherine Harris.
Is it still a truism that the heavier the turnout, the better the Democrats tend to do? I recall that was why the Republican Party was presumably so much against the “motor votor” laws that would automatically register one to vote upon getting a driver’s license.
Feh, Hot Air.
But seriously, Rassmussen is a serious under counter of cellphone users, and even I do think Hot Air is misleading.

And, they claim they could not wait for the Pennsylvania numbers? Allow me to say: How convenient.
Ya know, one consistent theme as the Repos try vainly to right their ship is how they keep harping on Obama’s inexperience in many of their ads. Umm that argument got taken away from you when you decided on whom to select as the GOP vice-presidential candidate.
Meanwhile, the California branch of the GOP displays its tact and compassion in a time of grief for Obama:
On the same day that the death of Obama’s grandmother is announced the California Republican party files a lawsuit against Obama, claiming his use of the campaign plane to go visit her last week was an illegal use of campaign funds.
Great timing, guys; you’re a real class act, you are.
If you had bothered to even read the first line of your cite, you’d see that the suit was filed this morning, before her death was announced. And if you’ve ever spoken to a lawyer you know that the paperwork was done the night before. You’re a class act EddyTeddyFreddy. Trying to make hay out of the death of this woman.
