McCain not as forked as the McCain Forked thread, but still forked

Obama 338 EV
McCain 200 EV
Who predicts this you ask? None other than Karl Rove. I think he is being optimistic…

She is right.

I do not think EddyTeddyFreddy was missing that, that is why “timing” was mentioned. I do think it was bad timing for the filers, but even if the grandmother had not died today, I do think the people filing this are scum.

You need to call 1-866-OUR-VOTE to report this, just so it’s added to the record. Please do that.
Btw, they figured out how those flyers in Virginia were sent.

Of COURSE it was only a joke. Uh huh. Of COURSE no charges will be filed. It’s only democracy, after all. Who gives a shit about that? It was only a joke.

Because of course the jerks who came up with this suit and filed it had NO IDEA that the woman was actually, ya know, gravely ill and could die at any moment, and that suing Obama for such a thing would be a dickish move no matter when she died? Is that what you mean?

They’d be assholes no matter when they filed the suit; that it hit the court the very day her death was announced is merely poetic justice.

There seems to be a pattern here:

Yeah, yeah, I know. But I couldn’t find the Rassmussen results anywhere else, and I wanted to link.

Still, they do have some decency; the poster there of the news of Obama’s grandmother’s death was up front and ruthless about deleting comments expressing “suspicion about the timing.” That’s more than most of the conservative sites I peek into do.

Yeah, the Pennsylvania result did make me feel better. Still, IS there any momentum on McCain’s side because of those other results?

He’s forked.

Pittsburgh 23 - Washington 6

"The outcome of the Redskins’ last home game before a presidential election has been an accurate barometer for which party gets in the White House 17 of the last 18 times.

If the Redskins win, the incumbent party stays in power. If the Redskins lose, the opposing party wins."

Of course, the 18th, and incorrect, time was the last election…

So I did GOTV work in Pittsburgh today, and the scope and depth and organization of the Obama campaign is utterly stunning.

They have computerized lists of every single Obama supporter in the precinct (and, one assumes, the city) (maybe the state). They sent out a shift of volunteers to talk to every single one of those supporters today to encourage them to vote. If the voters weren’t home, they were marked so that the second or third shift of volunteers would knock on their door without re-knocking on the doors of people who’d actually been contacted. Then yet other shifts of volunteers went to every single supporter’s house hanging door signs with voting information, rights, and that individual voter’s polling place.

That’s in addition to the phone banking, etc.

It’s completely nuts.
Tomorrow we’re going to visit every single supporter and ask them if they’ve voted. If they haven’t, we’re going to visit again. And again. And again. Plus whatever we’re doing with polling place lawyers and witnesses and line watchers and so forth.
Go go Obama!
(Anyone want to go visit the freepers and see if anyone is claiming the timing of Obama’s grandmother’s death is a bit TOO convenient? I wouldn’t put it past them…)
By the way, PA has no early voting at all, so tomorrow will be a madhouse at the polling places, I assume. The law is that anyone in line by 8 p.m. gets to vote. I wonder what the over/under is on when the last vote is cast?

First of all, great work in Pennsylvania. It really looks like it’ll be key, and that the effort will (hopefully) pay off!

Someone did. And they did.

Which is why, as I said, I was impressed that at least Hot Air doesn’t put up with that kind of bull.

Worse, they’re accusing him of having her murdered. Thread.

Other polls point to Obama gaining support, As Rassmussen is missing some voters IMO places like Pollster.com that includes other polls seem to be more reliable:

Pennsylvania:

Florida:

Ohio:

On both Florida and Ohio, McCain is down by about 3 percentage points when looking at several polls.

Seems to me that any momentum is now applied to both candidates as they both seem to be going up a few points as undecideds are finally making up their minds.

Traditional Voting first-timers Dixville Notch, NH, which hasn’t voted for a Democrat since Hubert Humphrey, just voted for Obama 15-6.

Is this a good thing? Or not?

I mean, it sounds good to me, but then . . . is it a reverse omen or something?

Now that is a switch!

So much for the Bradley effect! ;)

](http://www.newsweek.com/id/167186)Looks to be good news.

The raw dynamism and explosive energy doesn’t really come through in the pictures. Looks more like Eternal Heck, where agnostics go when we die, nothing much ever happens, and its always pledge week on NPR…

That’s some sense of humor those Reps have… spreading misinformation is so funny. Real knee slapper there.

I feel like I’m holding my breath all day today. Thank god I have to work–I’d drive myself nuts otherwise.
And I want to say to all those who GOTV and rang doorbells and cold called people and volunteered at a campaign office etc, thank you for making our democracy work.

Huh, we got that call. I didn’t answer it, they didn’t leave a message.
