McDonald's Bacon Cheese Bagel is just vile and nasty. God, how I love them.

I have the same feelings for Bojangles Chicken Biscuits. They’re greasy and they have a weird aftertaste, but I’m so addicted. I feel sluggish all day after I eat one. But I’d rather eat them than the much better biscuits from Southern Biscuit Kitchen, just because Bojangles chicken is a little spicy. Then you add in fries with lots of cajun seasoning (enough to make your mouth tingle) and a big cup of sweet tea with real lemon. I’m trying to break the addiction, but it’s really hard.

ME

The Crosssssandwich is very good. Bacon AND sausage? ooooh… Fondness for Crossandwich is not heresy, but you can’t eat them in a car. The Cross part is too soft. Muffins you can snarf down on your way home.

However, the Eggamuffin really wins out based on the egg. Scrambled egg slab is all well and good, but the glory of an egg shines best with a runny yolk, and Eggamuffins are like a runny yolk treasure hunt. One out of 3 eggs is just slightly undercooked and ooze when you bite the yolk. Mmmmm… runny egg yolk…

Oh, do I love the steak-egg-and-cheese bagel! Sooo greasy, soooo messy, sooo fattening…sooooooo good!

drool

Yep, bacon-egg-cheese bagels are the best for breakfast in the car. The McMuffin’s have that dusty stuff that gets all over, and biscuits are too crumbly by nature, but the bagel is sheer perfection.

Dusty stuff? That’s grease absorbent to keep the grease in the sandwich and off of your steering wheel.

I was overdosing on grease and salt and whateverthehell kind of steak it is that they put on those things.

Stop! You’re turning me on… :o

Uh, my favorite McDonald’s breakfast item is the sandwich that has the maple flavored pancakes filled with eggs, cheese and bacon. However, I do ask for Equal for my coffee so it’s not too bad, right?

Thank you! I was horrified to see that no one had mentioned the McGriddles in this thread! Sooooo amazing…soooo wrong…and they have something like 800 calories in each one!

I’m a traditionalist. I go for the original Egg McMuffin with the Canadian bacon.

Pfft. The bagel is crunchy and tasty. The Crossanwich is like chewing on two pieces of rubber with some vaguely breakfast-like material in between. Once every year or two, I go to Burger King for breakfast just to see if anything has changed, but I always come away disappointed. The only bright spot on their dismal breakfast menu is the bite-sized, dippable cinnamon rolls. But then, it’s probably pretty hard to screw up a cinnamon roll, so really all they did was get the size right.

I like the McGriddle (though my wife is repulsed by it) and the Steak, Egg, and Cheese Bagel. I also like the original McMuffin. Oh, and the Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Biscuit. Hell, let’s just say I like the whole breakfast menu and leave it at that.

Psst, hey Dragwyr
…Guess where I’m going for breakfast…

Sausage and egg McMuff-in, Sausage and egg McMuff-in, Sausage and egg McMuff-in,

Therein lies the problem. The bagel can be eaten in the car, because it can only be eaten in the car. The bagel metamorphosises into a rock aproximately 45 seconds after it is given to the customer, so you have to eat it damn quickly. The crossanwich maintains its soggy flakyness over a very long period of time.

Funny, the thread title planted the seed earlier, except I said “Screw that, I want the steak”, and I went to McDonald’s for the first time in probably 2 years.

So good.

But the ultimate breakfast sandwich is (was? I haven’t been in years) Hardees’ Ulitmate Omelete biscuit. Heaven in a heart attack.

Working in MacDonalds as a student put me off ever eating there, but I’m joining in this thread to say that Subway’s Mega-Breakfast sub is drool-makingly good.

Oh! You are SOOOO on my doo-doo list, now nocturnal_tick!

ROFLMAO!

I suppose I should get a ticket to Great Briton just to experience the sinful pleasure that is the DOUBLE sausage and egg McMuffin.

All right. I’m letting the cat out of the bag. Go to McDonald’s, and order a Morning Mac. You heard me.

You get muffin, cheese, sausage, cheese, sausage, egg, muffin. Double, baby. You just gotta know the code.

So how come they aren’t advertising this stuff? If I had known they were available I would have twice as much cholesterol in my arteries as I do right now.

Wait, wait - back up! Subway’s has a breakfast sandwich?

They do in the UK, at least. Sausage, egg and bacon on a 6" sub, plus your choice of extras. I like it with cheese and mustard.
