This just in: a 250lb boar on its way to slaughter in Scotland has escaped and is currently on the lam. The public has been warned not to approach the pig, as he is believed to be extremely angry.
He has been named McQueen, and the farmer has said that, if he is caught, he will be given to an animal sanctuary to live out his days in peace.

The Scottish news last night was a hoot - they had a pigs-eye view steady-cam shot of McQueens escape route, set to the theme from The Great Escape. Go freedom loving porker!

Not sure what’s happening up there. Except they’ve developed a new taste in meat.
Checked the Beeb link. Two comments stand out:
Shaw has spent 25 odd years trying to escape from Doyle in The Professionals and the Beeb get him by saying that’s his best known role.

Sorry, I didn’t update: I heard on the radio yesterday that he’s been caught. Having said that, it was on my radio alarm so I might have dreamed it, since I can’t find evidence of this on the BBC website.
If they send him for slaughter, a ‘rasher’ decision couldn’t have been made (DYSWIDT?).
Perhaps the police are still grilling him ?

This thread certainly ain’t boaring.
Just think, a Professional saved his bacon. Otherwise he’d have been up for the chop. I bet Derek and Rodney Trotter were out looking for him, trying to catch him on the fly. But as we all know, pigs can’t.
