Mean People Suck

Let me ask you people, what the hell is the point of being an asstwerp to people you don’t even know. Some people just think they’re some hot as hell shit because they can throw out some curse words to someone even though they haven’t talked to this person for more than five minutes in their meaningless ignorant little lives, and when they actually DID converse with them, the other person was perfectly fucking nice to them.

Example
I was with my friends once in Barney’s coffee to buy some…wouldn’t you guess…coffee! Now she gets into this conversation with these oh-so-punk guys about a band she likes. Now, since these people don’t like the band, they think they’re going to go all badass on her and start insulting her and the band just because they don’t like it! Now maybe this doesn’t seem so bad to you, but she was being perfectly nice to them until the fuckwits had to go break out their colorful language and piss off attitude.

This particular incident happened a while ago, but it’s just one of the many times some asshole has insulted me or my friends over trivial matters. They have to try to impress they’re shitface fucking friends by being a jackass to some perfectly nice people who just want to be friendly! Well twiddle-dee-fucking-dum, you’re just SO big now aren’t you?

When people take time out of their valuable lives to be nice to another person, because god knows it can be so rare, couldn’t they just respond with the common shitfucking decency to at least be a tad friendly back? Is that SO hard???

“Is this just a temporary phenomenon or are you always an asshole? I hope you have a nice day.”

And then just walk away, even if they continue with the colorful epithets.

An auxilliary that I’ve noticed with a lot of list serves and bulletin boards are people who are extremely rude simply because they don’t have to be face to face with the person. There are things that make it more difficult to communicate (facial expressions, body language, intonation etc) through this medium, but some people look for an insult in every post whether intended or not. They then respond with an almost automatic flame in the extreme. Unfortunately that frustrates me to the point that sometimes I just don’t want to read anyone else’s opinions because of the frequency of flames. :frowning:

Anyway, I heard this quote once:
“If you take insult where none was intended, you are a fool. If you take insult where it is intended, you are an even bigger fool.”

Kind of stuck with me and it helps sometimes to calm me down. :slight_smile:

Anyway, yeah, mean people do really suck :frowning: those guys were some of the biggest losers I’ve ever met in my entire life. I guess they were trying way too hard to live up to the “bad ass punk” image or something. They ruin it for the decent punks out there and that’s a damned shame.
