Did anyone else see/hear the video of the reporter that was super close to the actual fire fight?
The video is nothing special, you can’t see much other than a few smoke bursts. The audio is very telling though.
One bullet can often kill a guy instantly. Sometimes it takes a few. When there are HUNDREDS of rounds shot at a small cabin, it’s safe to say they didn’t have an actual target and were just spraying the place with lead. If any one of those guys had eyes on the suspect, he would have been Swiss cheese in about three seconds based on the number of rounds pumped into that place.
Regardless of how MoL behaves IRL, her persona here is any mixture of cranky, sarcastic, bitchy, dry humored, acerbic, and sometimes caring. There’s no way she would actually treat the deaths of anyone in the line of service in a cavalier manner.

given that I live in the Greater Los Angeles area, I haven’t been able to avoid it. If you want to explain in greater detail why the two deputies in the patrol car deserve a facepalm for being shot, or how Dorner was ‘outgunned’ (you might start by listing his available weaponry as currently known), go ahead. I still think it was a stupid, indefensible comment, but go ahead.
Or you could read today’s LA Times account of the funeral of the 34 yr old deputy.
And, BTW, I don’t believe anyone else got shot by Doofus after he was holed up int he cabin, (they got shot on the road), but feel free to correct me if I’m missing something, otherwise, you look like the one not following too closely…
