given that I live in the Greater Los Angeles area, I haven’t been able to avoid it. If you want to explain in greater detail why the two deputies in the patrol car deserve a facepalm for being shot, or how Dorner was ‘outgunned’ (you might start by listing his available weaponry as currently known), go ahead. I still think it was a stupid, indefensible comment, but go ahead.
Or you could read today’s LA Times account of the funeral of the 34 yr old deputy.
And, BTW, I don’t believe anyone else got shot by Doofus after he was holed up int he cabin, (they got shot on the road), but feel free to correct me if I’m missing something, otherwise, you look like the one not following too closely…

I didn’t say that. Clearly, shooting at a truck delivering newspapers is a serious error. (I actually think the error’s genesis was in the wording of the radio warning to the cops on the post “he may be coming towards you” which opened itself to the interpretation an identification had been made, but I don’t want to derail the thread further with facts or anything ;)). Bitching about how the truck was the wrong color is stupid, as newspapers are delivered in the dark, when cones don’t function. Most ‘Monday Morning Quarterbacking’ comes from people who like to think they are somehow superior to those involved.
You said he was ‘outgunned’, which I think is materially false, and seemed to imply that being shot from ambush was a facepalm. If you believe that, I think that’s pretty dumb. If you don’t believe it, you might amend your comments.

Aww, this OP makes me sad a little bit, and makes me feel bad about what a hellacious seaward I was to my mom when I was a kid. Dude, seriously, it’s because she’s a tween.
