So… my catly number is back to 4. My kitten Nicky is now so big that he is larger than the two adults, and he’s only 7 months… do you guys remember when I said this little Siberian was going to be the size of a small moose? I was just joking - honest! Anyway, Nicky is full of play - but doesn’t know his own strength. And my older two cats just can’t handle it. Soooo… I went shelter-shopping and found another kitten - this guy is exactly 1 year old.
So… any tricks for taking photos of black cats? This guy is gorgeous, but my photos don’t do him justice. OH! Here’s his professional photo from the shelter: Marley’s shelter photo
Once upon a time I had a tiny little Maine Coon kitty. Now I have a twenty pound Maine Coon cat. Your siberian looks to be the same way – and just as pretty. The new guy is also gorgeous – love that gloriously pretty tail!
Thanks guys!
This cat was SO meant to be it’s unbelievable… he is just like my Baby was in everything but looks. He shadows me from room to room - if I get up and leave a room he will follow, no matter how comfy he is. He wants to eat MY food. He wants to be picked up and carried around. He talks back to me when I talk to him. He stomps all over my laptop keyboard. He drinks my pop and burps. He wants tummy rubs. He is sooo much like Baby I just sat down and bawled like an idiot this morning. It’s like having Baby back again, young and troublesome. I LOVE IT.
I was not bargaining for that when I got him, it never even crossed my mind. I was just looking for a playmate for Nicky - who is still a bit unsure of this newcomer. Marley knows he’s a handsome guy
His tail is gorgeous! From the shelter photo, it looks like he has caramel highlights on his fur - he’s quite the pretty kitty. (Plus, that bowtie rocks. ;))
How have your other cats taken to him? I know it can be hard to introduce older cats to kittens, but it looks like they’re fairly comfortable together.
