Meet the Parents: The Results are In.

This is for all you lovely people who’ve been asking me how I got on with my potential in-laws (and yes, alright, I admit it - I want to marry him and have his babies!).

Well, the meal was lovely and so were his parents - couldn’t have been nicer. In return, I was the model of decorum and didn’t get drunk, spill food down myself, or do any of the 101 things I could have done to embaress myself.

The only black spot was his sister, who turned out to be a miserable, sour-faced old thing and a spoilt little madam to boot. But I managed to make friendly (on my part, at least) conversation anyway.

All in all, I think I made a good impression. I’ve been invited round for a post-Christmas dinner as soon as I get back from up North, anyway, so I’m taking that as a good sign.

Watch this space for the engagement announcement folks!

How nice! Although I think you should get hammered at least once before you marry him, so you can tell Ms. Crabby Puss where to shove it. Families…they’re pretty freaky!

Woo!! Glad to hear it all went well.

Good news for a Monday morning Jen!
(I’ve been away all weekend playing happy families myself!)

Wot a good girl you was!

Well the worst bits over, all downhill from now! Do you belive in fate?, cos I gotsa feeling this is all really going to work out for you this time.

Loadsa Love

Good to hear it went okay!
