When I saw the email I thought, “WTF, didn’t I just re-up a a couple of months ago?!?!?!1 Or was that just a drunken stupor”.
I think at least a one week warning should have been sent out, this last minute shit is just asking for people to bitch about not having enough time to re-up if the wanted to.

A query - if I had tried to re-subscribe yesterday, I would have been charged the $7.49, which I can afford when converted into local currency, but having missed the deadline, I now am being charged the full $15.whatever, which is starting to verge to the steep side of expensive for me…
Is there anyway to set time back by a day for me so that I can re-up at the preferential rate? I’m not sure whether “time management” is included in Mod-superpowers

P.S. I also only got the “please resubscribe” notice on the 18th when it was due to run out on the 20th… my fault for using an email address I don’t check regularly enough for my SDMB subscription I suppose…

Gosh I wish you folks had sent out reminders prior to the very last day.
I read my email & the Dope daily. Except for May 20th when I had to go in to work early.
So on the morning of the 21st I see the email & go renew. Only to discover it’s $15 (not really a problem), and I’m now a plain member instead of a Charter Member (largish problem).
I try to pay attention to the boards. But I rarely venture into ATMB since it became just the “Mod-bashing for fun and little profit” forum.
So if there were any stickies or announcements about impending renewal there I missed them all.
What can we do to fix my issue? What can we do to make this less burdensome next year for the staff?
