With the swimsuit season coming up, a lot of us ladies start to panic. As a 30 something, size 12 mother of one I always wonder if my panic is really necessary. I’m pretty self confident, except when it comes to having to show off my cellulite by the pool. So, just curious, men, what do you notice about a woman’s body? Honesty is appreciated!
Honestly? I will notice just about everything on someone that looks good in general. Those more in the average category, I don’t notice at all. I am pretty picky so women that are towards the average just go unnoticed in that way and that includes most of them. Someone would have to go really far wrong direction on the Hot <-------> Not continuum before they attract attention again. Those would be the 300 pounders in bikinis with unnatural looking body hair growth.
Like.
Faces.
I know this sounds like bullshit “guy who wants to make the other guys in the room look bad in front of the lady” stuff, but it’s true. I have zero opinion on legs or abs, and hardly ever notice T&A unless they’re pointed out to me or aggressively pointed *at *me.
I mean I’m sure I notice all of the whole on a subconscious level, but the main “hot or not” switch is definitely upwards of the neck. Eyes, smile, hair, expressions, come hither gleams, je-ne-sais-quois and so forth. The rest, well, it don’t much matter in the dark, does it ?
Is there a poll coming?
personality. well not only that of course but how a woman acts and talks is more important than how she looks if I want to get to know her. For what it is worth my wife is larger than a 12 but when I look at her I see the girl I met and fell in love with 36 years ago. We were both much smaller. I still see her that way.
All that being said it is different for every man. I’ll never notice cellulite because the only thing I’m looking at are the breasts. Big,small, real, fake, firm, saggy I don’t care, just my thing.
OK, well, not breasts interestingly enough. I have a thing for the lower half: everything from the waist down, and most definitely from behind. That’s what I notice. I don’t particularly care about extra weight, but obesity is a turn off.
Cellulite? Meh. I think it’s just part of growing older, really. And I, for one, have no problems with people growing older. It beats the alternative.
Hip to waist ratio.
I’m not looking at your bad points. I am looking at your good ones.
Regards,
Shodan
Depends on the woman. I like to look at the good looking aspects of the a woman and have no interest in looking at unattractive parts. Pretty face - I’m looking even if the woman is overweight. Great legs I can’t help looking at no matter the rest. Cellulite, a giant goiter and a face like Walter Matthau - why yes, I was staring at that woman’s boobs.
Women seem to think that men stare at their ugliest feature and I can’t imagine why. I have never heard a (straight) guy say, “can you believe she wore that suit with her thighs?”
Flab is bad. If your goal is to turn me on, the less you juggle, the better. That means toned, though, not muscled. A tight bottom is a big, big plus. I prefer small-to-medium bosoms. I like redheads, Asians, and middle-eastern women. I’m also not into tall chicks, so you can cut yourself off at the knees or something if you really want to drive me wild.
Then again, I’m happily married to a big-chested brunette that does have some flabby bits (and probably always will, though she does work at it); I married her because I love her for her personality and her brain, and I put up with her flabby bits like she puts up with my hairy bits, and because what I look for in a wife is very different from what I prefer in a pin-up girl or a one-night stand.
Agree You must have heard the saying nice ass shame about the face - if a guy sees something he dislikes it does not stop him admiring the rest.
But I never notice the bad points - believe me if anyone can put up with mine why should i judge…
Also: A smile. A good smile, nice eyes and nice hair go a long, long way. I married my favorite smile in the world.
Depends how exciting her body is.
I like the usual things, but that does not mean that I’m disgusted by anything different. I’ve seen a lot of naked people, of both genders, all ages, and a variety of weights, and my general evaluation is that we’re a beautiful species.
I agree. And not too thin. And a nice smile.
That makes me smile
Not too, sorry to disappoint.
I like looking at women at the beach/pool, more of them to ogle . I like a lot of body types, and like others have said, I tend to zero in on the most attractive part of a woman’s body. So if she’s got great boobs but a fugly face/rest of her body, I’ll kind of mentally ‘letterbox’ to focus on the part I like looking at. Yes, I’m probably looking like an incredibly creepy bastard while I’m doing it.
Speaking in generalities that would never hold up under scrutiny, I think there’s a 2x2 matrix - on one axis, there’s “body attractiveness” and on the other, there’s “presentation/attitude”
-
A woman with an attractive shape who is also in a great choice of suit/beach attire - huzzah.
-
A woman with a not-so-perfect shape, but who dresses to accentuate her positives and minimize her negatives? We are more than happy to roll with that, and focus on the attractive stuff. We want to find women attractive - if you help us do that with how you present yourself - bonus!
-
An attractive woman in the wrong suit / beachwear - we’ll ogle 'cuz we’re pigs but we’ll make cracks about her looking tarty or inappropriate or whatever
-
A not-so-attractive woman who presents herself in an unflattering way - has succeeded in figuring out how to get men to not look at her, which, given our status as pigs, takes a bit of work.
My $.02, if this makes sense…
I did the classic spit-take on that one.
