Men's Rights Movement may have a big future.

We don’t think you are a criminal. But we think you have a lot to learn.

Thanks – fortunately I am not in Canada.

Many liberals believe that those expressing wrong ideas should be reformed. Most conservatives believe in free market of ideas.

Where do you get this crap?

Why don’t you go to one of those forums and express your wholehearted support for gay marriage, abortion rights, and drug legalization, and then let us know how you were treated?

You advanced a set of ideas you’ve admittedly no firsthand experience with as a novel idea that no one on this board had encountered and apparently expected to acquire a rapidly expanding fanbase of angry, self-righteous men with victim complexes and probably hoped for a measure of apologetic, amenable women. What do you want, an apology that you chose a hackneyed “movement” with dubious goals? An apology from the women who benefitted from courts which ruled in their favor? An apology from men who are admittedly quite pleased with their station and lot in life? What exactly, do you hope to gain from both these victim threads?

Well, they were pretty open-minded about the oppression of men by women, apparently. How more open-minded can you get?

Never expected that – just expected a little more discussion on issues and a little less personal attacks.

They disagree with many issues but they do not see the movement as a threat.

“Conservative groups not threatened by Men’s Rights Movement! In other news, water is wet!”

Well, Art is Art, isn’t it? Still, on the other hand, water is water. And east is east and west is west and if you take cranberries and stew them like applesauce they taste much more like prunes than rhubarb does. Now you tell me what you know.

I agree with Little Nemo back in post 72. It’s a universal thing and we should focus on the biggest and most severe issues first before tackling the minor ones. As a man, if I offer my support to their cause, which is objectively more important, I doubt they would forget it. As it is well known, people who have suffered and struggled know what it is like for others.

I also agree with others who mention that it has more to do with class or value than gender. There is a lot to be said for being good-looking. Especially when you consider that cash rules everything and the U.S. is by and large a consumerist nation.

Everyone can look at this way. CCitizen did a good job in showing me why it’s not a good idea to be associated with MRM. So there’s that.

And nobody here sees your movement as a threat. Just misguided, ill-informed, and rooted in fear of women.

OP, do you recognize the negative responses to your topic as dissent? Instead of taking this personally, why not investigate the criticism of the MRM?

I guess I am not welcome at a liberal forum – should have been banned outright.

My belief system and what I write elsewhaere remains my choice.

I grew up Catholic, so this sort of martyr complex only works on me when my mom is saying it.

To try again, what draws you to the Men’s Movement?

Or you could try actually answering the question. I mean you’re not scared of a bunch of Libruls are you?

Now I’m curious. What did you mean by this?

This whole persecution complex you have at least helps explain your MRA involvement.
