Mensa Questionnaire

So one of the people who works for me is doing that Excel spreadsheet labelled “Mensa Questionnaire”.

She’s stumped and I wouldn’t mind spoofing her to prove how way cool I am to a 23-year old.

Anyone point me in any direction here? I’d appreciate it.

FTR, it’s the one that asks you do decode things like:

24 H in a D = 24 hours in a day

That sort of thing, you know?

Uh, you could just cheat and look at the answers? If it’s the same spreadsheet I have they’re easy to find – just save the spreadsheet as a non-Excel file (I think tab-delimited text file is an option) and there are your answers.

Actually, if it is the same one that’s been doing the rounds over here I may know most of the answers – does it have a bit of a South African influence?

Send it to me, Johnathan Chance. I’ll do it for you.

I’ll knock it out for you, send it my way.

Sounds like a “quiz” I did about 20 years ago… I know I have it in my junque file in the garage… but it’s too dang hot to be rummaging thru anything in the garage.

I’ll send it around if people want. I don’t normally FWD stuff, though.

Hey, call me shy.

Oh, and off the top of my head I’m up to 20 right now.

But teasing 23 year old assistants is a high priority around here.

If it’s the one I remember, the only one on there that I was stumped by was, 11 P on a FT.

11 Players on a Football Team.

Which I think is kind of crap anyway. Even if it was more accurately, Football Field, wouldn’t it still be 22?

A proper football team (soccer to you) has 11 players.

Well, heck. So does an American football team, doesn’t it?

I have seen loads of these usually on paper - my mum used to compile the for the PTA (Parent Teacher Assciation)

It’s not a Mensa test but they can be pretty challenging. (perhaps I’m just thick)

I thinks it’s unlickly your all looking at the same one, although with the internet who knows?

Um, I have to admit, I have no idea how many players an American football team has…

…so there goes any chance of a Mensa membership for me.

Is one of the posers 200 = D for PG in M ? That was the most difficult one for me to get, but I figgered it out, by golly…

Nope that’s not one of them.

It’s tricky, but I’m doing all right on it.
