Moooom, I think that the last time I was at Applebee’s was a few years back and it was my date’s choice. The restaurant supply outfit that I used to irk for was part of their supply chain, so I know what they got fresh (not much) and what was frozen in that era.
I heathenated today. On the way in, I swung through Sonic for an aig and cheese burrito and a cuppa coffee. I broke the temporary crown (on my front tooth! :eek: ) that I got last week. I called my boss to tell him I wouldn’t be in tomorrow and will begin [del]making a pest of myself[/del] calling the dentist to get shoehorned in for a replacement. As long as I’m not eating, it’s staying in by way of a strategically placed piece of chewing gum. 
After lunch, I swung up to SIL’s with tea and pastries and enjoyed an afternoon with her, my nephew and some of his friends. One of the guys referred to me as Cool Aunt Jool. 
I’m home but need to get up early so I’ll wait for tomorrow night to get talkative.
I spent Friday evening and from mid Saturday afternoon to late evening at a Godzilla and Friends film festival. It’s shown at the local university each year on the first weekend in May. I love all those movies. I really need to get a copy of the very first Godzilla film, from 1954. And no, no, no, it did not have Raymond Burr in it. When it was to be distributed in the US, that’s when new scenes were filmed and inserted, chopping out some other scenes to make room. I guess the distributors thought having a round eye in it would make it more “accessible” Wrong. The original is much better without Perry Mason.
I sure hope this next week will be better than last week, One good thing, my mom seems to be improving. I visited her today and while not perky she can walk better now and doesn’t need the wheelchair to use the bathroom, the walker is enough. I’m really optimistic now that she’ll be able to go home in three or four weeks, like planned.
Mom’s birthday is coming up, on the 20th, we’d planned a big party but that may have to wait until next year. But hopefully we can still have something quiet with her on the day. And Mother’s Day is six days before her birthday, got to figure out what to do about that.
