So, anyway, at the BBQDope, a few of us were talking about a Dopefest in Mexico. We wanted to make it far enough in the future for people to gather resources and stuff. Also after most people had got out of school for the semester. So, we figured Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo in late April 2002.
What do you guys think? Anyone interested? Any ideas?

I’m afraid I am way too old for spring break action, in fact
I swore I wouldn’t go south during March or April after a week of college mayhem in Jamaica. Of course, I live in Palm Springs, which is like paradise during spring. But hope you guys have a great time. I remember “Zihuatenejo” from “The Shawshank Redemption”, that last shot on the beach
when Morgan Freeman finds Tim Robbins. Such a beautiful place, can’t think of a finer place for a Dopefest.

No no, perhaps you misunderstand. Zihuataneho and Ixtapa are right next to each other. Z is the quiet, relaxing town and Ix is the party town. So we’ll have the best of both worlds. 
Sleep in Z, party in Ix. NICE. Never shit where you eat 
Demo, as if you need to ask me if i’m down for this! I can put awa a hundred bucks each month (starting in october) for this. I will live frugally, i will make it, damn it! About how much total should i put away? (Including airfare, the hotel, food, etc)
Put me down as a hopeful maybe. I’m traveling a lot this fall and finances/vacation time might be a little tight for a few months in the spring. I’ll have a better idea in a few months.
