You can eat just about anywhere in Ann Arbor and find at least a few decent vegan or vegetarian dishes. No need to restrict ourselves to the one hypergranola bunnyhugger restaurant in town.
[sub]I slay me. Heck, every restaurant in Ann Arbor fits that description to some degree[/sub]
Sounds like Ann Arbor is just like Northampton–and Boulder, another town where I used to live–but I suppose a LOT of college towns are like that. I should feel right at home.
By the way, I just broke my coworker’s heart. She sings in the University Choral Union, and they are supposed to sing Brahm’s Requiem in the spring. She didn’t know someone else was singing it this year. I gave her the bad news (though I didn’t know it was bad news) when I was trying to “name drop” my new musical connections/knowledge. She was irritated that UMS (or whomever) would schedule the same piece of music to be sung in the same concert hall in the same year.
I said yup, she’s screwed, because after seeing you guys sing it I ain’t going to her concert later on.
She said there is some other piece of music (name escapes me) that every other fricking choir on the planet sings every year, so by the time they get around to singing it late in their season, no one gives a rip about hearing it.
er… well… I didn’t go to Art Fair Dopefest cause I get really cranky at Art Fair. Between obsessing over the fact that its more like a craft fair, and dodging Ohioans buying things-on-a-stick, I’ve sworn it off the past couple of years. I don’t think I was aware of any others (I used to never read MPISMS until fairly recently).
Well, Cranky, I don’t know how long ago the Choral Union performance was planned, but the Smith/UM deal was planned well over a year ago, since we were given the performance schedule for the last academic year last fall–the boyz came to Smith in February and this will be the second performance. That probably will come as no consolation to your coworker, but too bad. We were there first.
We got effusive praise for the first performance, and my mother, who as a professional singer knows a thing or two about this sort of thing, listened to the recording and pronounced it absolutely exquisite. I’m looking forward to doing it in a real concert hall; the hall where we did the performance at Smith has horrible acoustics, but it’s the only space big enough.
Funny? You call that funny?!? BunnyGirl, you got some s’plainin’ to do!!!
I demand you get yourself over to Phi Kappa Psi fraternity immediately, admit your sin, and ask the brothers for your proper and due punishment. And don’t forget to tell 'em Paul sent ya!
Forgive me, [sub]Father[/sub] Paul, for I have sinned…
Hey, tsarina, I’ll do any veggie place with ya. I like veggie. Have you tried Grandma Bea’s here in town? I had a great veggie Reuben there last week. And I do mean great!
And what, I ask you, is wrong with being a Bunnyhugger? Hm? Hm!? :tapping foot:
Mr Bunny is coming with me - he really does exist! Cranky, I will have you get me two tickets. Can’t wait! We’re not fussy about where we eat as long as they will have some veggie or seafood dishes. Mr. Bunny doesn’t eat a lot of red meat, so…
Hmmm… maybe I can make this. If my pictures come out decent, I could show you guys my UK experience. All seven rolls… (BTW, I’m back home, safe and sound).
Oh, and I can give Cristi this little thing I brought back from Stonehenge for her…
Only one more week until the arrival of the one and only me!
