Michael Flynn's Shining City on the Hill - For Christians Only

I genuinely apologize. My eyes somehow skipped over that sentence: “As it should be.” And you’re right, it was a somewhat pompous response. (In my defense, I’m currently working with high school students.)

It’s more “Ha ha! Look at all the people who are angry because I dropped my trousers and shit on the couch during their dinner party! I’ve shown them who’s boss! Winning!”

And then they keep coming back and dropping more turds.

No problem.

I know I set myself up to look like an internet tough guy, but when I was young, I didn’t know how to ignore people like that. So you rough em up to show you’re not going to be bullied, and then you’re friends again. Otherwise they never leave you alone. (ask me how I know…)

See Webwarrior? This is how functional adults deal with finding out that their assumptions were wrong, when they review the facts at hand. Trolls on the other hand ignore what is right there in front of them and keep screaming to the heavens about how the world wrongs them and their ilk.

He’s a self-doxxed (note full name and photo in profile) conservative conspiracy theorist who’s all over, for example, the teaparty. org website railing about “Marxists” and “Blacktivists” and anti-vax conspiracy theories. Eff off, Edward Sears Shaw.

Not surprisingly, just like any other thing you posted about, you also have no clue what peasants are.

Here’s some public education you are so fond of for you:

So, black people are “peasants,” whose existence you don’t mind, so long as they meekly accept their second-class status in American society.

Does that about sum it up?

I had noticed that, but was avoiding calling attention to it because I don’t know if it still counted as doxxing if he outed himself and/or we went to other sites to verify. And no need to make myself ill viewing the sort of spite I’d expect you found on such sites. Honestly, thanks for taking that one for the team. Have a bucket of mental bleach on me!

Actually, I don’t know what the fine print is on that, and apologize in advance to the mods if I’ve crossed a line. I figured I wasn’t telling anybody anything that isn’t right there in webwarrior’s profile.

(ETA: Just to make sure, I have flagged my previous post for moderation so they can come after me with the wet noodles if appropriate.)

I’m not sure where the line is. I once was told not post my own e-mail address. Despite the fact it’s visible to anybody who views my profile.

I have been informed by a mod that I’m not in violation, but I guess it’s a good general principle to restrict SDMB discussions to SDMB personae. Goodness knows there are enough valid criticisms to be made of webwarrior just based on what he’s posted here, without digging up his other idiocies elsewhere on the interwebs.

FTR, the specific line here was that Kimstu didn’t post anything that the poster hadn’t made publicly available, and was vague about where else on the internet webwarrior’s posts could be found. Which is about as far as any discussion about who anyone else is in real life should go - let’s not do any additional detective work on this, okay?

But, but, but…he’s a warrior! A freaking warrior on the WEB!

(who doesn’t know how to fight)

“Let’s look into this guy’s background. Maybe we can dig up some dirt on him.” The fact I use my name and picture doesn’t indicate to you that I couldn’t care less about your witch hunts? I would say it was a new low here, but not much can beat the vulgarity, obscenity, ad-hominems, snark, and outright slander already posted and, truth be known pretty common on this forum. Those are all points against in a real debate. Sadly, that’s something learned in post-secondary schooling.

And we thank you for your contribution.

It is so weird that the person looking for proper debate isn’t looking for it in the debate forum.

Not really. I learned them in high school, where I was 1 and 7 in debate tournaments.

(Pretty sure the judge didn’t really know what he was doing, any more than I did)

Have you even bothered to read the descriptions of the different forums on this messageboard? This forum is The BBQ Pit, which exists for the specific purpose of accommodating “vulgarity, obscenity, ad-hominems, snark, and outright slander”.

Just because some of us also indulge in actual debate in the BBQ Pit doesn’t mean that we’re debarred from using the forum for its specified purpose as well. If you don’t like it, then go flap your fingers in one of the regular debate forums where the rules of engagement are more strict, rather than snivelling that people are using the designated flame forum to flame you.

Your whining about “witch hunts” indicates that you do in fact care when somebody uses the identifying information you provide publicly to find out some additional information about your unsavory internet presence.

Typical conservative blowhard: swagger that you “have nothing to hide”, and then whine that somebody found out something unflattering about you using the information you deliberately made publicly available.

Well, we haven’t ruled out “foolish” or “clueless” yet, but thanks for clarifying.

Oh, my - I hang out on forums that make this one seem completely stuffy and proper. Though I suspect a lot of this comes down to you being butthurt we didn’t welcome you as a savior and kiss your ass.

^ This.

Usually I don’t hide behind screen names or little cartoony avatars, as you all discovered with your “background checking.”
Circel-Jerk if there ever was one.
